Saw Neerja and I had goosebumps
A well directed movie that brings out the story of Neerja Bhanot who rescued 359 passengers of her Pan Am flight that was hijacked in by militants in Karachi
A simple girl at heart who lived life to the fullest and whose parents stood by her decisions. A model as well as air hostess Neerja was filled with life and laughter, die hard Rajesh Khanna fan who knew all of his dialogues from each and every of his movies
I loved the father-daughter bonding in which her father tells her- maine 3 baatein seekhaayi
1) Hosala mat haaro, hosal rakho saari problems solve hogi
2) Kabhi galat kaam na karna aur na hi sehna, self respect sabse important
3) Pehli do baatein hamesha yaad rakhna
Shabana hats down was my favourite - the mother who sensed that something was wrong before her husband calls her to inform of the hijack, who asks her daughter to try to work out differences with her abusive husband only to hold her tight in arms and tell her that her Laado won't go anywhere near that man when the truth comes out, the worrying mother who is concerned for her child's health but it her speech in the end that makes you think and as teh movie end you one cannot stop but agree
