Dear, here lies the answer to your question why she was called a social worker.
She was not doing any favour to herself .
She understood the value of education so she didnt want those girls to suffer for the lack of basic knowledge which she went thru.
Those girls who were uneducated, she went from their door to door , got insulted , termed as chodi huyi beendni, but never bothered about those humiliation. JUST because she wanted to uplift their position.
How many of us even think of that,
There lies the difference between us and a social worker. she didnt bother about the criticism but she made them educated .
She didnt have any school. She used to teach under trees.
Seeing her hard work and the noble work, DS who was so against her allowed her to do that in the haveli.
Those ladies were not just uneducated , they were not in a position to send the girls to any school . She started that work, which then became a small school , later Shiv helped her in getting Government grant.
No normal person does all these but a social worker does. CVs showed that in great detail
