Part 20

Shlok saw her from top to bottom and went near to her and said "Wat happened to u y r u doing this y r u avoiding me do u regret that much if that is the case then u wont get ur increment just get out from here." Aastha "Sir I m talking about my salary there is nothing to do with yesterday's kiss I already forgot about that one it would be nice if u too forget that it was a mistake I m really sorry for that now if u can increase my salary it will be a great help from u." Shlok came nearer to her and said "U bloody." And controlled his words by seeing her angry "Ok u r not going to get wat u want now get out from here I don't want to hear anything like this from now if u want to work silently then work here u will not be paid anything more than wat we r paying now and y r u avoiding me wat is it." Aastha "aap hi to kaha tha I should not come near u I m just following ur orders Sir after all I m here to do wat u say so y it is bothering u its ok that is different I m asking once again please.." Shlok didn't listen her and went out from his cabin. Aastha caught the letter tightly in her hands and accepted her defeat but she wont back down. She went to her best friend gauri. She is working in the grocery shop. She needs more money to pay the loan she applied in the bank.

Aastha said everything to gauri. Gauri managed a job for her in the grocery shop at night after her office timings. She was made as a bill collecter. Gauri "Aastha I m proud of u being such a talented girl u r working here I hope every parents get a child like u they will be very proud of u." Aastha said that she applied loan in the bank and also said nothing to worry. She didn't tell anything more but she said she will be late every day bcause she need to work on that project. Avdoot nodded. Aastha also sold her scooty. She was using public transport now. She bcame responsible. Shlok didn't find the exact reason of her misery. Y does she need increment suddenly wat is it bothering her. Her life her marji mujhe kya he thought but her eyes said something he cant get that. Wat the hell y do he need to think about her. Now suddenly y is she reminding all those words to him. She was working in grocery shop till late night. She used to skip her dinner mostly. Gauri saw her bcoming weak day by day. Even Shlok found her sleeping sometimes in his office. He didn't neither disturb her nor he let any one disturb her y he didn't know. Aastha didn't think about her at all. She was just working like a Robot in this process she forgot about him. In her cabin sometimes she used to catch her head and cry for sometime. But she is determined to get wat she wants. Unknowingly she bcame far from Shlok too this bothered her to her utter shock y she didn't know.

Shok was driving restless. Today again she asked increment. Again they had a fight. She bcame weak infront of his eyes. Wat is bothering her he didn't get it he thought he will increase her salary. He thought to say it to her. He will tell her tomorrow she is really talented then y cant he increase her salary but he cant see her like this. She didn't take care of her health. She used to skip her office timings now and then. Next day in his office he called her and said "Aastha teek hain here is ur increment but u should work for one hour more every day. U should be here till 6'o clock." She didn't show any cheerful reaction she just said "Sir how much is the increment." He said "5000 is it ok for u." She again thought once and excused herself for 5min and went out to call gauri. She asked gauri is it ok to come at 6:30 she said ok and also Aastha came in and said ok. He didn't say anything.

Actually wen her office finishes at 5 she runs to canteen and have something and goes to shop at 6. Now there will be no time for her to eat. She has to eat in the grocery itself now. She was thinking about her family nothing mattered to her now. She bcame weaker she used to go to her home lately. Avdoot "Aastha don't take much strain I know u wat u r doing but please take care of ur health beta I cant see u like this." Aastha "Baba sirf kuch hi din baki sab theek hoga I m ok Baba don't worry." Avdoot was feeling helpless seeing his daughter like this that too bcause of them killed him. Kalindi too used to cry at nights. She used to go to her room and carress her face and used to cry her whole heart. They felt helpless. One night wen power was cut Kalindi didn't sleep at all she kept on blowing air at her all the night. Aastha bcame more determined day by day. At last bank sanctioned loan to them. Aastha bcame very happy. That day Shlok saw her smiling. He felt something woke in him. He missed her laugh these many days yet she is not coming to him. She took the amount and gave it to her Baba. Avdoot hugged her and said "Bohut dukh ho raha hain beta bohut dukh ho raha hain I m sorry." Aastha "Baba don't worry aap mere liye itna kiya main ye nahi kar sakte." Aastha "Don't worry Baba sab teek hoga. She also said she got increment." Kalindi was in tears and hugged her. But she didn't back down. There is one man left. She continued her work in shop to earn more.

One evening it was 6. She is looking into her watch now and then always. Shlok observed this. It was 6. Aastha "Sir may I go now." Shlok "Aastha wait there is one more file left just check it and go." Aastha "Sorry Sir but my time is finished." Shlok got up suddenly and went near her "Wat!! Wat did u just say." Aastha "I said my time is finished u only said I should work one more hour and I m working one hour extra that shouldn't be a problem for u I m getting late I need to leave now." Shlok "So u r talking politics." Aastha "I m sorry I have no time to argue with u." and she left. Wat the hell wat is bothering her. He wants to follow her where she was leaving. Go to hell y would he go. He checked that last file and thought about her. Is she the same Aastha no. Wat happened to her she never behaved in such a way is it bcause of that kiss no he knows matter is different. She was never like this and he cannot see her like this at all. He determined to ask her. That night he coincidentally happened to be in the same grocery store. He took some domestic items and went to cash them. He saw Aastha there working. He was shocked to see her there. Shlok went to her and said "Aastha tum yaha ye sab kya kar raha hain." Aastha saw him with tear eyes. He didn't understand her. Shlok "Aastha bolo kya hua tum yaha kya kar raha hain." Aastha "Sir I m here working here as my part time job." Shlok "Part time but u never worked b4 now y suddenly." Aastha "Sir this is my personal life I think u have nothing to do with this now please leave me I need to work." Shlok dragged her outside "Aastha for god's sake wat the hell r u doing here u said u wanted increment I didn't ask anything I gave u wat u asked and y u r working here see urself how lean u bcame." Aastha "Sir I cant understand wat is bothering u this is my life and please leave and let me work here if I do any mistake in office then ask me or scold me u don't have any right to deal with me like this." Shlok was stunned seeing Aastha like this. He caressed her face and said "Aastha dekho mujhe y cant u see I m worried about u yaar" Aastha cooled down and asked in polite manner "Sir that is wat I m asking y do u need to worry about me I can take care of myself." Shlok left her and said "Achcha teek hain jao jo karna hain karlo." The second he went away she cant control her tears she cried harder. But she got up and went to work.

After some days she slowly came to his cabin and said "Sir thank u for supporting me I think this will be the last day for me here. I learnt a lot from u Sir and I m proud of u Sir wherever I go I will proudly say that once I was the PA of the great Shlok Agnihotri I want to bcome like ur father but my fate has something different in my life I cannot forget wat I did here. It will be my memory for working under u Sir." And she gave her resignation letter to him. Shlok "Aastha ye kya hain stop joking Aastha u r not leaving any where and u r working under me understand." She cant stand that her dam broke. Aastha "Im sorry for any mistake I m sorry Shlok but I cant work here any more." Shlok felt so much. He then realised something should have happened on that night. Shlok went to her and wiped her tears and said "Kyun baat kar raha hain aisa Aastha u were behaving like this since after that business party now y u want to leave." Aastha slowly looked his face and kissed him on his cheek "Sir I wont forget u Shlok." And she gave her wedding card to him. He was shocked to see her wedding card. Aastha "This is the end Shlok I m going away I m going to get married all the best to ur life Shlok." And she hugged him tightly. She felt heavy in her throat. She cant stand like that. After a week her marriage was settled. She just ran away to her cabin and cried out louder. Shlok just kept on staring the card. He didn't know wat the hell is happening. He even didn't open the card. He was shocked. He still didn't get out of that shock.
