Yes what has AMU got to do with hoisting flag in aligarh , it is as patriotic/normal as any other indian university .

i feel sorry for the guy. He might have to go to jail for supporting his fave sports team. If it was some other countries flag i doubt it would have been such a harsh punishment, but since it was Indian flag they might make a statement out of him.

I have seen in my country too. People host USA flag over their own. No big issue!

But everyone is aware about India Pak relation. The sensitivity of their nation. It was not necessary for him to put india flag ontop of his house. Its because people complained and the country system reacted so it wont spread & repeat. I'm sure no one complaint in India otherwise the situation will be very much different.
