While it was reported that Salman has replaced SRK as the new host for this year's Filmfare, none of it is actually true...

We had earlier reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be hosting Filmfare Awards this year. And we stick to that even now. Although it was alleged that Salman Khan has replaced Shah Rukh as the new host for the awards night, none of it is true.

Previously, it was out that Salman was being paid a whopping Rs 2.5 crore to host the two hour long Filmfare ceremony that will be held in Mumbai on Sunday. But now, we can tell you that nothing of that sort has happened. It's still SRK who will be hosting the bash along with comedian Kapil Sharma.

Salman, on the other hand will be performing with kids on the show and might also be seen putting up a segment with his bhai SRK. This isn't the first time for SRK at Filmfare. Previously too, he has hosted the show with Ranbir Kapoor and most notably with Saif Ali Khan. Also, Shah Rukh was spotted rehearsing with his new co-star Alia Bhatt for a performance. So we are sure that the Filmfare thing is definitely on for SRK!
