Fully agree SD. But if she is doing a hindi serial I am afraid there will be blaring background music and over-dramatisation. Whatever glimpses I have seen of hindi serials, they are all too loud, garish and larger than life. Nothing as sweet and simple as JYRG (or the earlier ELDG). Maybe Prajakta is a bit outspoken and also does not have any top connections in the industry and so no offers are forthcoming. Another thing I guess is that Prajakta is ambitious but not overambitious. As I mentioned earlier, my guess is, she may play the role of a muslim girl in a hindi serial. But I hope it is sensible and not a "guest appearance".
Kamal, there are few hindi serials which are like JYRG or ELDG. Of course hindi serials are slightly loud than marathi serials. I remember one hindi serial on sony Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. It was a good serial with all good actors. The concept was also different, girl falls in love with a man who is 18 yrs older than her. Initially they had Kritika Kamra and Mohnish Behl as leads. But later Sharad Kelkar replaced Mohnish once their love was accepted by their families (I guess Mohnish was not v comfortable romancing young girl). Initially serial was really good till marriage. Later they spoiled the serial just like JYRG.
If Prajakta or Lalit become part of any such serial, it will not be that bad. But before that they have to establish themselves in marathi atleast. I am totally disappointed in ALKK. Even if Lalit is coming in D3 right now, it's in a side role only. Let's see how Lighthouse goes but even if it is good, it will have very limited audience. Let's hope both of them don't become one serial wonder and get to work on really good projects in near future.
