The film's decline continues here but overseas has a different story to narrate...

We told you how Tamasha would go past the 50 crore mark at the box office towards the end of yesterday and it did. The film has earned another 3.32 cr on Wednesday taking its toll to 50. 69 cr. Now, we were expecting that and it didn't disappoint us. Tamasha isn't Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and so, one shouldn't assume that it will manage to rake in that kind of moolah. Despite getting mixed reviews, it has done pretty well for itself. But the drop in the collections were noticeable from Monday. However, it is the overseas circuit that will put a broader smile on the face of the makers.

If we talk about domestic market, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Tamasha continues to slide downwards. Fri 10.94 cr, Sat 13.17 cr, Sun 14.12 cr, Mon 5.07 cr, Tue 4.07 cr, Wed 3.32 cr. Total: 50.69 cr." As he mentions, the drop has been consistent since Monday. But the film is managing to win more abroad. Tamasha rakes in USD 4.45 million (INR 28.9 CR) making it the 3rd highest grossing opening week for 2015 across all international territories. North America box office is reported at $1.58 Million with some screens yet to report. Reported box office in Gulf is USD 1.3 million with some locations yet to report. This is the 3rd highest week 1 box office for 2015 in the region.The UK box office reported at USD 532 K / GBP 332 K. This is the 3rd highest first week box office for 2015 in the region. Reported box office for Pakistan is at USD 475 K!

It could have been such a nice film! Disappointed with Tamasha! Some very nice moments but some very forced to do engineering moments:)
