As for Undhiyu, will go hunting down all right ingredients tomorrow, hope we find them all so we get authentic taste !

As for intolerance issue, sure India has its share of religious fanatics and they need to be kept under control. However such matters can be taken care of at city, state and central government level. All have role to play and just can't point finger at PM alone. Since majority of us have not lived in India can't say if circumstances have changed so much in past few months or not 😕

Coming to Aamir and all other artists, celebrity - again why not use your fame, reputation and money for good. When the new censor board chief was appointed and he hinted of making language requirement more strict Aamir and few other ppl from industry went to see some minister of Central government. Well if they are so concerned now why not request such a meeting? 😕
Aamir has not done this first time, back in early 2000 before his movie Fanna he had made statements against Narmada project so not surprised! We Indians need to stop giving celebrities so much importance, who are they?

@bold ...Wohi toh nothing new ...Aamir he is known for only creating controversies which is never resolved ...waste of time ...Media is giving him too much importance but then they have to sell news ... Like you said , use reputation for doing good ...action is required ...preach sub kar skate hai .

Ingredients mil jayenge ...may be not fresh , frozen se kaam chalana padega .

Horses are racing to hold will be tough ...you are on the right track don't change tracks 😛

Ha ha...just pulling your leg...Enjoy! I am glad you are broadening your choices...Jay😃
Don't know Aamirs politics...so can't say how genuine (or not) his statements are ...

But in India...often times killings for revenge or other personal reasons are masked as religious crimes...to hide the personal agenda...I would not rule out the possibility of that happening in the said lynching case...

People "use" religion for every possible reason...that is the unfortunate truth...

Not conservative Hindus but I think even the liberal ones have been hurt by Aamir khan's statement...as a responsible citizen he shouldn't have said what he did because he is not just ANY person ...,he is a superstar and ppl do look upto them. I am pasting below a open letter written to him by a very liberal citizen of India...

Janab Aamir Khan,

I am an ordinary Indian citizen and an avid movie-goer. You are a superstar in a country where the majority of movie-goers are Hindu. For years, we have spent our money to buy tickets for your movies. It is our money that has made you what you are today.

We clapped when as ACP Ajay Rathore, you destroyed a sweet-talking Gulfam Khan in Sarfarosh. We cheered when as Bhuvan, you played the winning shot in Lagaan. We cried when as a sensitive art teacher, you made us root for Ishaan Awasthi in Taarey Zamin Par.

A couple of generations before you, an Yusouf Khan had to become a Dilip Kumar to be accepted and a Mahajabeen Bano had to reinvent herself as Meena Kumari. Not you though. Neither you, nor your contemporaries had to hide your identity to be successful.

You became a star in a new India. An India, where only your first name mattered. We loved you because you were Aamir, a brilliant actor. Neither your last name mattered to us, nor your faith.

But yesterday, you proved to us that for you and your wife at least , it is your last name that matters more than anything else.

Your name is Khan and you Sir, are a hypocrite.

You did not scream intolerance when your city burned at the hands of some of your co-religionists. Your wife did not feel insecure when a mammoth crowd of some of your co-religionists attended the funeral of a hanged terrorist. You were silent even when a mob from Reza Academy kicked and destroyed a national memorial and manhandled female cops.

But now, suddenly, your wife feels insecure in India and wants you to move out.

If I WERE indeed intolerant, I would suggest you move to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the safest place on earth, where Begum Kiran Rao can feel absolutely secure inside her abaya and your little son can grow up watching public executions in a Riyadh square.
