Chapter 28

While Vidushi and Randhir were talking, Sanyukta went somewhere and brought a piece of paper. Vidushi came back to confront her.

"So Miss Sanyukta Aggarwal. Oh sorry, Miss Sanyukta Suryavanshi", Vidushi said with sarcasm dripping from each word.

"Let me tell you the truth", she said and was about to tell when Sanyukta interrupted.

"Wait Vidushi, first tell me what is this?", Sanyukta said showing her a paper.

Vidushi took the paper and looked at it. She was shocked seeing that paper. Parth too looked at the paper and became shocked. Randhir was silently observing them but seeing their expression he came running and took the paper.

On the top left corner it was written, Mrs Randhir Singh Shekhawat. In the centre it was written PREGANANCY REPORTS' and at the bottom the results were shown positive.

Randhir was shocked seeing the reports. He didn't understand how Sanyukta got this report. Vidushi now understood the whole matter. Sanyukta saw these reports and misunderstood everything and thus she was blaming Randhir and was cursing him for all these years.

"Sanyukta jaise tum samajh rahi waisa nahi hain. Yeh reports par jo naam hain who fake hain. I had a reason to use this name", Randhir said trying to explain her.

"Ek baat batao Randhir, essi kya kami thi meri pyaar mein. Agar tum mujhse pyaar nahi karte teh toh mujhe bol dete, I would have happily moved out of your life. Lekin you cheated on me with that Ragini", Sanyukta said trying to calm her inner turmoil.

Only she knew how she was saying all those words. Her heart broke into million pieces saying this but she somewhere down she knows she still loved Randhir and if Randhir would have told her to leave she would have happily done it.

"Sanyukta tum galat samajh rahi ho. Main sirf tumse pyaar karta tha, karta hoon aur hamesha karta rahunga. Yeh jo bhi kiya maine yeh meri majbori thi", Randhir said with tears flowing down his eyes.

Sanyukta too was crying.

"Essi kya majbori thi jo tumne mujhe nahi bataya! Maine tumhe aur Ragini ko sath mein dekha hospital mein jab tum reports collect karne gaye teh. I heard your and doctors conversation's", said Sanyukta with completely broken voice.

FLASHBACK:

The dreadful day when everything got ruined

Sanyukta was passing by a doctor's cabin when she saw Randhir sitting there. She was confused. She thought to go inside when suddenly the doctor came with a girl. She went closer to the cabin to have a clear look at the girl. And she was shocked to see the girl. She was none other than RAGINI.

"Congratulations Mr Shekhawat. Mrs Shekhawat maa banana wali hain", doctor said handling him the reports.

"Are you sure doctor?", Randhir asked to confirm whether he heard it right.

"Yes Mr Shekhawat. She is 3 weeks pregnant. Take her care because she is weak to carry the child. To avoid complications you will have to take her proper care. And the main thing. Don't let her stress. It will affect the child's health", doctor said straight forward.

"I will take complete care of her, doctor", Randhir said assuring.

"And yes Ragini, you too take of yourself", doctor told Ragini.

Randhir smiled and stood up with Ragini to leave. Both left the hospital together but Randhir didn't knew he left someone broken there.

Sanyukta heard it all. She was numb. Her legs weren't supporting her. She was on the floor crying uncontrollably. Dhruv saw her and came running to her. Sanyukta wasn't replying she was just crying uncontrollably. Dhruv made Sanyukta get up and was taking her to his cabin but suddenly Sanyukta went back and barged inside the doctor's cabin where she saw Randhir and Ragini to confirm what she heard. She didn't want to believe what she heard. She thought maybe what she heard was wrong. She barged inside and looked at the doctor. Dhruv came inside along her.

"Sanyukta kya kar rahi ho?", Dhruv asked as soon as he entered.

"Shhh!" Sanyukta told furiously.

"Doctor the one who just came to you for testing, I want to see their report. Mr and Mrs Shekhawat", Sanyukta told furiously.

"Sorry but we cannot share a patients reports with anyone", doctor told the fact.

"I am warning you the last time doctor. I just want to know whether the one whom just came was married or not", Sanyukta asked fearing for the worst.

"I am sorry lady but I cannot tell you", the doctor said.

"Listen Dr just show her. I assure you and take her grantee", Dhruv said to the doctor.

He saw a rage in Sanyukta eyes and just to control it he broke the rule of the hospitals. He just wanted to help her.

"Okay", doctor said and showed Sanyukta the reports.

She saw the thing she was fearing the most.

Sanyukta was shattered. Her heart broke into millions of pieces. She wanted answers. "How could he do this to me? Doesn't he love me? Why did he do this? Did he used me?", she thought.

She came out and sat on the bench. She just sat there like a lifeless for 1 hour. But tears where still flowing down her eyes. She was crying miserably.

"Sanyukta", Dhruv came and sat beside her.

He got scared seeing her crying miserably.

"Are you alright?", Dhruv asked concerned.

Instead of replying she just hugged him. She cried harder and harder with every passing second.

"Ran...Randhir...how could he?", Sanyukta stammered.

He very well knew Sanyukta and Randhir each other a lot. In fact he adored the two. He always wanted to have a life partner like Sanyukta but god made only one Sanyukta and now she was Randhir's. Only RANDHIR'S SANYUKTA.

She wiped her dried tears and looked at him.

"Leave about it. You tell me. Why have you come here. Is mom alright na?", Sanyukta asked concerned.

"Woh...", Dhruv started but trailed off seeing her puffed eyes. "Are you alright? Dekho apne aap ko sambhalo. Abhi sabse important tumhare liye tumhari mom hain aur unki health."

"I know Dhruv", Sanyukta said and asked him to wait for 2 minutes.

"I will wait for you in my cabin. Come soon. Need to talk to you urgently", Dhruv said and left.

Sanyukta went to the washroom and washed her face. After crying hard, Sanyukta became like a stone and now she knew no one could break her. She was a lovable Sanyukta only for her mother, for rest of the world she was, SANYUKTA AGGARWAL.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"Aab bolo. What do you have to say. I am all ears", Sanyukta said wiping the tears that struck her face for the hundredth time in such a short span.

"You haven't left your bad habit of assuming things. Tum soch bhi kaise sakti hoon ki Randhir kissi aur ke sath...chii. I am sorry to say Sanyukta lekin agar aaj tum aur Randhir saath nahi ho toh uski wajah Randhir nahi TUM HO. Sirf aur sirf tum", she said angrily.

Sanyukta gave a confused look.

"But don't worry. I will now clear your confusion. Let me tell you the TRUTH", she said stressing on word truth.

"Tumhe yaad hain jab Ragini hamare sath hamare room mein rehti thi. Mujhe pehle din se hi shaak ho gaya tha. College never take a new admission in middle of session but she came as new student. Main tabhi samajh gayi thi ki kuch gadh badh hain. I started to follow her. Aur phir mujhe jakar pata chala sachi kya hain", Vidushi said roughly.

FLASHBACK

Sanyukta was injured. Some goons came and tried to kidnap her but she was saved by Randhir at time. They came back to the college and told everyone about what happened. Everyone got suspicious as who wanted to get Sanyukta kidnapped. Randhir was very furious. He wanted to find out who had done this. He will not leave that person alive.

Suddenly his phone started ringing. It flashed Ragini. He excused himself and went to the corner to talk to her.

"Maine tumse kaha tha na mujhe call maat karna phir bhi...couldn't you wait for my call", Randhir told angrily.

"Sanyukta kaisi hain. Is she safe?", Ragini asked him.

"Tumhe kaise pata Sanyukta ke baare mein?", Randhir asked suspicious.

"Jo usse kidnap karne aaye teh woh mere bhai hain. Randhir i am really sorry. Meri wajah se tum logo ko yeh sab sehena paad raha hain", Ragini said apologetically.

"Sorry bolne ki koi zarrorat nahi hain. Meet me in the store room after 15 minutes", Randhir said and hang up.

"Sanyukta tum jao aur apne room mein arram karlo. Agar kisi bhi cheese ki zarrorat ho toh call me", Randhir said smiling.

Sanyukta smiled and went to her room. Randhir too left immediately after she left to meet Ragini.

Vidushi and Parth were going through the corridor when they saw Ragini and Randhir in store room. She got suspicious and started to eavesdrop. Parth tried to stopped her but Vidushi is Vidushi.

"Abb hum kya karenge? I think humein tumhe kahi aur shift karna padega. You cannot stay here anymore. Agar kisi ko pata chal gaya toh bahut problem ho jayegi. I don't want kisi ko bhi pata chale ki tum aur...", Randhir wasn't able to complete as Vidushi barged inside the room.

"Tumhe sharam nahi aati yeh sab karte hue. Ek baar bhi Sanyukta ke bare mein nahi socha?", Vidushi asked angrily.

"Sanyukta?" Randhir told.

"Don't take her name from that dirty mouth of yours!", Parth shouted.

"But what happened ?" Randhir asked.

"You're such an asshole Randhir!", Vidushi shouted.

"What are you talking? Are you out of your mind?", Randhir taunted.

Though Randhir was a brother to Vidushi but even Sanyukta was her best friend. How could she let anyone hurt her even that anyone was Randhir.

"Shut up Randhir!" Parth shouted.

Parth couldn't control his anger anymore and he started beating Randhir. He hadn't ever expected this from Randhir. Randhir didn't know what was happening, he pushed Parth away. Parth went back to him and hit him again. Randhir didn't hit Parth back initially but he was furious too. They hit each other harder and harder with every passing second. Vidushi and Ragini came running and parted them after a lot of trying.

"What the hell? What happened to you'll?" Randhir shouted caressing his face.

"How dare you Randhir. Tumhe sharam nahi aati yeh sab karte hue. Sanyukta tumse kitna pyaar karti hain aur tum...chii. You are cheating on her with this girl. Ek baar bhi Sanyukta ke baarein mein nahi socha", Vidushi shouted on top of her voice.

"Dekho Vidushi it's nothing like that. Jaise tum soch rahi ho waise nahi hain. Please listen to me", Randhir tried to make her understand.

"Shut up! Don't you dare show us your face again!" Parth shouted.

Randhir was startled.

"Kya sunu main Randhir. Yehi ki YEH ghatiya ladki tumhari girlfriend hain jiske liye tum Sanyukta ko cheat kar rahe ho", Vidushi shouted.

"SHUT UP VIDUSHI", Randhir shouted.

Vidushi went quite.

"Pehle sachayi jaan lo phir bolna. Ragini mere nahi Karan ki girlfriend hain. But...", Randhir trailed off. He became sad. But he composed himself as he needed to clear the things.

"Karan is dead. Uska accident ho gaya meri car se hua tha. Jane se pehle he asked me to promise him and asked me to take care of Ragini. But abb uske bhai uske peche pade hue hain. They want to kill her because they think she ruined their so called reputation. Abhi tumhe batao how was I supposed to tell you people? How was supposed to risk your life?", Randhir told. "Aur waise bhi jo abhi abhi Sanyukta ke sath hua hain I don't want tumein se kisi ke bhi sath ho."

Vidushi and Parth immediately felt guilty. How could they not trust Randhir.

"I...i..am..", Vidushi stammered.

"Sorry bolne ki zarrorat nahi hain. Agar tumhari jagah koi bhi hota toh yehi karta. And I am glad ki mere baad koi toh hain jo Sanyukta ki itni care karta hain", Randhir said smiling.

"Phir bhi we are sorry lekin tujhe humein batana chahiye tha. Aaj hamne tujhe galat samajh kal ko kahi koi aur tujhe galat samajh baitha toh!", Parth stated facts.

"esse nahi hoga Parth. Randhir will take care of it. I know my bro", Vidushi said and winked.

"But still I think you should tell Sanyukta?", Parth told what he thought.

"Tum pagal ho gaye ho kya Parth. Main usse iss matter mein involve nahi kar sakta. They are dangerous people. Dekha nahi aaj kya kiya unhone. I reached there on time nahi toh I would have lost her. Main nahi chahta meri wajah se Sanyukta ko kuch bhi ho. I will solve this matter first then I will tell her", Randhir told him.

"But...", Parth started but trailed off as he knew arguing with Randhir was only possible for Sanyukta. Anyone else who does always lose.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"Did you got know now why he didn't told you", Vidushi said acidly.

Sanyukta went numb. . She was dead from inside. She cursed herself with all the words she knew. She didn't knew what to say. She felt that someone just stabbed her with a knife. She had no idea how she would live with the guilt she was bearing.

Sanyukta looked up at Randhir and Randhir saw what he never wanted to see in her eyes. GUILT.
