Lol nostalgia always gets to us. I have never been a fan of the movie or Dola Re. It was too gaudy for me then and now its unbearable to watch for me even though Madhuri is my ultimate bias and I like Aishwarya too. But the OTT expressions of Aishwarya ruined it for me then, its almost was comical for me now. I wasn't the fan of the gaudiness in sets and dresses either. Madhuri and her expressions are to the point,so is her dancing, also Aishwarya seems to be dancing a bit faster than Madhuri. I love the fact that Madhuri gave such a awesome performance while being pregnant in real life.
So after Pinga released I just wanted to watch Dola re again. N my sentiments are same as they were when it released. I prefer the much toned down version of Pinga. PC and DP can never be as good as Madhuri when it comes to dancing. But I liked their dancing. I hate SLB's Devdas so anything is better than that for me. I like the subtly in DP and PC's expressions.I cringe looking at Aishwarya's OTT expressions here. 😵 And in the starting of this song Aish's dance is so comical. OMG it's been years since I watched this and I see what you're saying now!! Back when it came out, I just liked the song and didn't think too much of it, but now I see that Aishwarya looks really goofy here!! She is a good dancer, but her expressions are just 🤪. Madhuri was definitely more graceful, but now, I can't help noticing how old she looks. She looks very aunty-like here.
But still, overall, I like the Dola Re choreography much better than Pinga.
