My parents watch a show called Roshini on Life Ok, it seems good from the few glimpses I have seen. Every time i saw it it was related to some medical case. Don't know if it's a love story or not.

And if you want love stories, you can always try RR. It was good till the last day of July. My friend watched it earlier this year and she loved it and she stopped right in time to avoid heartbreak. The best part about Parud was that they always stood by eachother no matter what.

Yes dear !! RR was lovely and very different... and don't talk about heartbreak !!!
Lot of us bowled our eyes out at the time of Paro's death !! WE went so crazy in longing for Paro that it was madness !

These days there are so many issues that come up that destroy a Love story ...first this TRP issue then Male Leads quitting ... I wonder why Female Leads do not quit !! It is the same story everywhere . Plus I find it v immature when fans ask the Female Lead as to how can they keep acting once the original ML has left ...how is she supposed to answer that and why should she ...she is not leaving ... the other person is ... and Why should she not continue ? !! Ask ML that please or Stop HIM !! Latest example is Kaise Ye yariaan !! 😆

I watched Manmarziyan in the beginning. Liked the way it started but then it tanked badly the way CVs took the story. So gave up on that show.

Its almost 2016 for god sake!!! Why are we stuck in gao based, saas bahu tactics, kitchen politics, pallus over their heads types of shows?

It makes me appreciate my fav show of all time (IPK) even more. It was a one time thing. I am glad its rare so it would be appreciated, but I am sad that it will never happen again. Everything worked int its favor. Especially the first 6-8 months. And I am so happy our Sanaya had a huge part in making it the way it did!

hey !! me too watched Manmarziyan initially but then again ... SP got it's track changed and introduced a Vamp and then it went downhill from there and finally got winded up in I guess 4 months ...look at the duration of the show ... just 4 months ... how will any Producer make a love story if the channels will mess it in between and then axe it off !!

I loved IPK for what it was ... solely for Sanaya !! She was the only reason I sat through whatever they aired later on right till the last episode and whatever transpired in the end and I did not want it to end just because Sanaya wanted it to continue ... She was the one playing Khushi so her opinion / judgement on this mattered the most to me ...even it had many illogical tracks but it held it's own.

Many people will not agree with me and neither do I want to play any spoil sport to Arshi fans , its their love for the couple so its understandable but for me ...down the line later to the kidnapping track ... there was no love story post it because of obvious reasons which we all know , I don't need to explain to anyone ... everything was on Sanaya and she handled it amazingly !
The way Sanaya played Khushi who was a complete nut case and the way she played Paro who was a different soul all together is so stark different ! I loved Khushi and Paro made me mad about her even more that I have a screensaver of Paro on my phone !! I have gone berserk really ! 😆

I think good shelf life of love stories is 1.5-2 years. In that time period, you can tell anything and everything. After that, it's all a drag with Saas bahu sagas. Example, Fizhool Hai. Lol at the ML quitting thing. Gul had that in this show 3-4 times. Though she did learn not to end the show, I'm glad IPK didn't last ages to turn into this. Always read headlines about some black magic, witches, and indefinite amount of leaps. I have been waiting for that show to end the day it started. Sorry to the fans of the show, but I hope it ends now since it's a sinking ship.

Don't know anything about Kaise Ye Yariaan. Seemed like a teen love stories don't interest me anymore. In fact, hardly any love stories interest me after Sanaya's love story shows.

And after JDJ, I want Sanaya to come back in something unique and preferably a finite series so it has its due run. Don't care for the TRPs as long as the show is able to tell original story without premature ending.

@ Nine 2 : Sorry dear...unable to quote anymore !! I did not watch Kaise Ye Yarian as was myself not interested in teen love stories but there are friends who watch and my Twitter TL was filled in with pleas to the ML to not quit and further tweets to the FL for various reasons etc so it's all in the open !!
😕

Gul has lost her touch post IPK ... this Zee show of hers has become like elastic and yeah it is all about witchcraft now ...🤢...it keeps on airing new seasons but hats off to Surbhi Jyoti for playing so many characters in it through various seasons .
Even her show on Sony ...that seemed promising and I happily went to watch it just because it was her show ...but then quit in between because it became too illogical and finally it was axed !

I agree with your last line ...me too want San in a finite series which will at least complete it's due course un-touched / and the way it was meant to be !
Lets hope for the best !

You have all rights to state your opinion. I have always been a huge ArHi fan. So when the show was ending, deep down a part of me was like if no Arnanv, then no Khushi. They both are inseparable. But looking at the heartbreaking SBS segment on last day with Sanaya's tears, I had never regretted my unsaid/hidden wish more than what I felt that day. I wanted it to continue only for Sanaya. Yes, Sanaya deserves all the credits she gets for the show. She was dedicated throughout, no matter what happened. But at the same time, I don't blame anyone for the way illogical tracks were introduced except CVS. They showed kidnapping track fine. But after that instead of showing Anjali being whipping willow, they should have showed her as a strong woman fighting her fate and rising as a winner. If the focus shifted to Anjali in that manner rather than everyone treating her as a porcelain doll, I would have enjoyed it. Also, after Arnav returned, instead of him blackmailing Khushi to come back to RM and then going all sugar coaty lovey-dovey out of ASR's character, I would have preferred if Arnav truly repented for his actions. Made up to Khushi for what he did. ICvs could have showed growth in his character. Would have loved to see him as ASR demanding respect from the outside world and equally giving the same respect to Khushi his wife as solely her Arnav. Instead of Shitall track that ruined the characters completely, I would have preferred if it was handled in a right manner. Either Arnav or Anjali could have adopted Aarav. I didn't mind ArHi adopting Aarav. It;s always a sensitive issue for me, and would have loved it if they showed it in a different light. Aarav getting accustomed to his new family. Khushi and Arnav taking away his insecurities and them bonding as a family compared to Arnav spoiling Aarav and ArHi having parenting arguments. Instead of showing Mrs. India track, I would have loved it if Arnav encouraged Khushi to either complete her education, or Khushi to start a business with her traditional embroidery. I wanted Khushi to earn her name and be an equal partner intelligence and talent wise when it came to Professional world. I wanted her to be the sophisticated, elegant, and classy Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada and demand the respect from the world with her talent and actions just like her husband. I would have loved Arshi honeymoon, Khushi's pregnancy and ArHi supporting Aarav and again dealing with his insecurities of a little sibling. And then a happy ending. This would have led to a better story.

But overall, I am happy with the show. Even in the terrible tracks we had some nice ArHi scenes and I live with that.

It is like the dark ages for Indian tv. It keeps hitting an all new low every week, since the past few years. I have no idea who the target audiences are & why they are watching something so distasteful. Indian tv needs a total revamp. Scrap all shows that are pathetically regressive(which means, scrapping 80-90% of the current shows) & bring in a whole set of new shows with good content & for God's sake, do not extend a show beyond a year. The Indian show that's still making all the right noise in different parts of the world aired for around 1.5yrs(thankfully, that wasn't long enough to screw up the show beyond recognition like it happened with many other love stories which aired at the same time). So, it proves that the duration of the show does not matter. It is the content. IPK had things miraculously falling into place & the execution for the 1st year, at least was top notch. Forget IPK. I LOVE Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. It is easily one of the best Indian tv shows of recent times. I have friends who go back to it like I do with "Friends" & IPK, for a good dose of laughter & wholesome entertainment on a particularly crappy day. And, that show had only 60 episodes. Finite series with pre-decided scripts is the only way forward. Until around 2-3yrs ago, there were shows for college-going people to watch. These days, it is the same old same old, everywhere. And, each is more mediocre than the other. It has been 3yrs since I watched an Indian show, not for lack of giving shows a shot. Although I have always watched 1 show at a time & have gone without tv between shows, this has been the longest break. And, it has absolutely everything to do with the ridiculously dismal content being served to the viewers. I should probably try Life Ok. This channel seems to be the only one coming up with even halfway decent shows, these days. The 3 mainstream channels are busy vying for the top TRP grosser spot by lowering the IQ of their shows, every week. It is remarkable how tolerant & the indulgent the TRP audiences are.

@nine2- You said it all. IPK, with all its ups & downs is a happy memory for me. I like it that way. I am glad the show ended way before they could kill the leads & bring in a new generation, or bring in a 3rd party & separate the leads. All absolutely ridiculous & making a mockery of the absolutely beautiful 1st 1yr of that show. Frankly, to me IPK was Arnav-Khushi. I couldn't have made myself carry on watching the show if either was not there. So, I was simply relieved when IPK ended as what it started- Arnav & Khushi's love story. Some things, despite all the bitterness surrounding them, happen for the best. I would have hated to see IPK becoming another Qubool Hai or Madhubala. The horror! It would have ruined the show entirely in that case. 1.5yrs of delightfully wholesome entertainment with flaws but a lot of heart, that is IPK for me. I can deal with that. I can go back on crappy Hotstar to watch it when I want to, without any bitterness.

@ N : I agree with your post mostly. YES , it did have many illogical tracks too , I would have myself loved to see more on the lines of what you are saying related to IPK , these tracks would have been beautiful but anyways ... what happened , happened ...cannot change it.
Lets just leave it at that ... what is gone is gone. We can only reminisce the beautiful memories be it IPK or RR ! 😊

@Archana : Do try Life Ok. their programs are still better !! Now with these finite love stories starting , I am sure many people will start liking these two. I will myself watch it for sure.

And Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is the most adorable programme to be made in the history of Indian TV...Roshesh and his momma !! LOL !!
