Facing truth and accepting your flaws is no mean task.. we all make mistakes, we all choose wrong path at one point of time but only a real man has the courage to stand up, take responsibility and make the wrongs right... and that's what separates boys from men...
manik knew nandini would ask questions and he didn't run away from them.. all his life he has been in her situation wanting to ask his mother who was never a mother that why him? why she treated him like a blank cheque which can be encashed any time... and today he stood in neyonika's shoes but manik was no neyonika nope his DJ brought him up the values that overpowered neyonika's blood running in his veins... he took a deep breath and looked straight into her eyes which were looking for answers.. he wiped her tears and cupped her face an with a lump in his throat he said "nandini!"
her name and the tone in which he said was enough to convey the love he had for her, the guilt he has been burdening himself with... "nandini! i know i am wrong very very wrong and saying a sorry isn't going to fix it up so from now on i won't say sorry." manik said and nandini was shocked on hearing his refusal to apologize.. manik kissed her forehead to calm down the jitters and continued "i know the heart ache i have given you cannot be cured with sorry, it can only be cured by love so i am gonna say i love you more often then i breath cause i mean it nandini.. yes i do.."
manik decided to open his deepest wounds in front of her today as he knew she was his healer.. "you know the world i come from nothing is pure, nothing is chaste.. its full of lies, deceit and darkness.. i would have been a normal kid nandini but i couldn't.. i grew up watching my dad getting drunk by neyonika's betrayal and showed his frustration on my grandparents... i saw my mother using me and my dad for her ulterior motives... i saw my grandfather die cause of all the pain and i am also the kid whose father came to him one night and apologized to him for bringing him in this world and say that was the last i saw my father.." nandini was crying she never imagined in her wildest dreams that this perfect guy, the confident and suave manik malhotra is a broken soul.. manik was crying.. he never shared his pain with anyone not even fab5 knew how and why manik's father left.. don't look for me cause i am never coming back..
"look at me nandini i am the perfect guy.. the manik malhotra the heir to malhotra industries.." manik stood up and opened his arms mocking himself.. "i have everything a unmatched wealth, great friends, a future that anyone could die for but i am the most bankrupt soul on this planet.." he continued falling weak.. "you are an orphan but you still have your parents memories, their blessings with you s you're not an orphan.. but i'm a guy who is an orphan with parents.. i don't know how to differentiate between true love that you gave me or the deceits that neyonika keeps on giving me everyday... i broke you but i broke myself more.." by know manik was on his knees sitting on floor crying.."fix me nandini.. please fix me.." manik said folding his and nandini called "manik.." and he came running to her and hugged her tightly...
Manik crushed her in his embrace even forgetting that she is injured.. even though she was feeling the pain she still let him as she knew he needed that.. he hugged her as if his life depended on it.. he hugged her as if his life depends on it.. they both didn't knew for how long they remained like that but they both were crying.. even heavens cried with them that night.. they saw a union like no other a love so pure that no evil stands in front of it.. two hearts beating as one..two pairs of eyes but tears are same.. finally manik broke the hug..nandini wiped his tears and caressed his cheeks and he wiped hers.. in a spurt of moment the distance between them started reducing and before they knew their lips were just inches apart.. they both closed their eyes as their heart beats increased.. as his hands slid from her neck to her waist pulling her close she wrapped her arms around his neck.. but as they were about to seal their love a sudden screech on the door broke their trance...
manik got up with a jerk and saw the old nurse walking in with nandini's meds.. she smiled as she saw both of them blushing and looking here and there in fact every where.. manik walked out saying "i'll be waiting outside.." after some 15 odd minutes the nurse came out and signalled him to go in... manik walked in to see nandini already on the brink of sleep due to the effects of powerful meds.. he went and sat next to her caressing her face and at that moment he realized he can actually spend his entire life just looking at her.. but sometimes only love is not enough a person need to eat to romance.. soon after nandini fell asleep manik's hunger pangs increased.. he saw her deep sleep and slowly sneaked out of room to grab a bite.. he ate a sandwich at jet's speed and came running back only to find her blissfully sleeping.. manik slowly adjusted himself next to nandini, wrapping her in his safe embrace and kissing her good night he too drifted in sleep..
It was 7 am in the morning when DJ, abhi and cabir walked in to see both the love birds wrapped in each other.. while manik's head was nestled at the nape of nandini's neck and her arm was wrapped around his face.. they all went aww at this picture perfect sight and cabir took out his camera and clicked a picture of them..
'hmmm.." DJ's voice broke their sleep and nandini once again pushed manik down in a jiffy.. "what nandini can't you find a better way to wake me up.." a sleepy head manik said while rubbing.. 'aww mera pyaara ladoo.." DJ said as she just felt like kissing manik on his innocence... "DJ.." manik stood up in a jerk and everyone started laughing.. DJ kissed nandini and asked her about her health and put forward a box.. nandini looked at her with surprise.. DJ smiled and said "your romeo had asked me to bring ghar ka khana for you as you don't like hospital food so he took your diet chart from doctor and ordered me accordingly.." Dj said while looking at manik..
while abhi went aww... manik blushed, nandini sat shocked cabir said "waah tu toh TLC mein noble prize lekar jayega mere romeo.." and burst into laughter and manik rolled his eyes.. after nandini finished her breakfast DJ announced the purpose of her visit.. "nandini since you are in hospital and injured.." "so will you replace her? you can't replace her?" manik started ranting without listening to Dj.. finally abhi had to close his mouth "relax lil bro let her finish.." "uff ladoo.." Dj muttered and continued "yes as i was saying since you are in hospital so we decided to shift the rehearsal here..and since certain mr romeo prefers staying around you now days i've decided to change the leads abhi will be the new romeo and manik will be the new oliver.." DJ announced and manik's joy knew no boundaries..
they say every night promises an new day and every new day is a fresh start, blank page where life gives you one more chance to write your story the way you want.. life has given manik too a choice to write his and nandini's story and this time manik was gonna write a fairytale that will glow in the stars, pour in the rain, felt in wind, shine in the sun and live forever and ever..
