From crying on screen to dancing now... are you enjoying it?

This is a great change. It has turned out to be a great experience. We did the technical rehearsals recently and it looks very good. I am really excited about performing. People will get to see another aspect of me, but my sole intention is to have fun on Jhalak Dikhhla Ja .

How tough is the competition?

I know that we are here for a competition, but to tell you the truth when we are performing, there's hardly any rivalry between us. We are 12 of us and though we do get support from our parents, they are not the only ones cheering the performers.

When someone is about to perform, the other contestants and choreographers are equally encouraging. Of course it's a competition and every one's giving it their best shot, but there's no petty politics.

Any mishaps during the rehearsals?

Thankfully, there have been none with me. I was lucky to get Bollywood dance in the first week, so I had a lucky escape. But from what I have seen, others have had quite a few falls.

And I am sure I'll be among them too once we try our hand at samba, rumba, cha-cha and the other dance forms. But I am excited about learning them.

There have been reports that the TRPs of Kasamh Se have been falling?

TRPs don't bother me anymore. When we started the serial, I used to get hassled, but now I have realised that there are going to be ups and downs.

Of course, when the TRPs go down we do get cautious. But we know that we have a certain amount of audience and they will definitely come back to the show, it's just a matter of time and new twists and turns.

Are you happy with the way it's shaping up?

I have no complaints, it's been doing very well. With TV shows, you have to be consistent. People watch your show everyday on TV and yet you have to grab the audiences' interest everyday. That's a tough job, considering that most shows go on for a long time. In case of Kasamh Se too, the show has been on air for more than a year and we have been successful in holding the audiences' interest.

You have Ronit Roy for company in Jhalak... too. What's your equation like with him?

It's great to have him there. I didn't know anyone other than him here, so it was good to have him around in the initial days. Now, of course, I know the other contestants too.

In Kasamh Se we play very serious characters, but here it's all fun. But the camaraderie is the same. But I must say that he takes dancing as seriously as acting.

Any plans to sign more shows?

I want to do so much, but there's no time. Kehte hain na, jab bhagwan deta hai to chappar phad ke deta hai. My mom keeps telling me about the offers that are coming in, but I have very little time on hand.

I am doing these two shows, besides that I am also doing a short story for a show and some ads. I wish I could do much more because there is interesting stuff happening. Right now, I wish there were more hours in a day
