I used to watch History channel sometime ago and saw a documentary on remains of Dwaraka found in ocean near Gujarat proving that Mahabarat was not a fiction. Moreover, there was no fiction writing in that era, writers used to write what they witnessed, which makes me believe that before end of each era humans created hi tech technology and have achieved everything humanly possible but yuganth destroys everything including documentation and people in new yuga have to re invent everything all over again ...may be that's the essence of evolution. Pushpakviman ( flight), babies in pots ( test tubes) and abhimanyu's wife having a mirror that shows what ever we want to know ( kind of Internet) are few examples.

TEST TUBE BABY (See, Fleury, you were bang on)
There is a passing reference to Test Tube Baby in Rigveda at 7-33-13, where it is mentioned that Mitra-Varuna developed from one utensil named as "Vasativara" two sons namely Agastya and Vasistha. This technique later on got evolved so that in Mahabharata era Test Babies were developed. These are Krpa, KrpT, Drona, Draupadi and Dhrstadyumna. These five had no mother.
Surgery - It is mentioned in the Rigveda, that the Queen Vispala got her lower limb severed in a battle, but at night Asvins fitted an artificial iron limb to the Queen of Khela, who then fought the battle the very next day. (1-116-15).
Solar System - Guru or Brhaspati means big and this name is given to the planet Jupiter which is really the biggest among the planets. Actually to a normal eye the Jupiter apears smaller than the Venus, then how could the Vedic sages know that the Jupiter was the biggest ?
Galaxy - The Mula Naksatra is called as Mulabarhi in the Vedas. The name was so given because it is the Mula or centre or a root from which a Barhi is fanned out. Barhi means a fan. The modern Astronomy has discovered that the centre of our galaxy is really at this star, and from the centre the galaxy has really fanned out spirally. How could the Vedic seers see the fan of galaxy ?
Gravity - Upanisad tells elaborately about the gravitation. At Prasna 3/8 it says: "The goddess in the Earth helps the Apana by supporting it."
While commenting on this Upanisad, Adi Sankaracarya writes: "If the famous Goddess of the Earth would not pull down this body by supporting Apana, this body would have floated anywhere in the space or fallen down/' 1 This statement clearly shows that Adi Sankaracarya knew very well about the Gravitation Force of the earth. Our scholars hold that Newton in the seventeenth century discovered Gravitation, which is wrong. Our Vedic seers knew it 25000 years ago.
Rigveda 1-50-4 speaks about the high speed of the light. As per Vedasthe velocity of light comes to 187084.1 miles per second. According to Michelson it is 187372.5 miles per second.
