What does Independence Day mean to you?
Independence Day to me means having the freedom to make your own decisions, taking responsibility for your own actions, and being mature enough to do both. Independence is freedom, power, opportunity and responsibility in every form. Independent from poverty corruption, malnutrition, rape or any other social evils unless each of us become an active part of the program to eradicate these evils. Till we stick to just preaching others without practicing yourself things cannot change its not that India has changed we are fighting all these ills but in a democracy it takes time.
India's biggest achievement in these past 70 years?
India's biggest achievement for me is it's Economical growth. It has made India become a Super Power; Information Technology being at the heart of our education system has created large pool of global entrepreneurs.
New age national hero.
APJ Abdul Kalam. He was people's president and he was the only one with that title. Many of the people might not really recall all actions of Abdul Kalam as president. One of his biggest active involvement was in the India-US nuclear deal.
A memorable Independence Day memory from your younger days?
Most fond memory of school hoisting the flag with rose petals falling, and freeing of 2 white doves with pride we would sing our nation anthem.
The best and post impactful patriotic movie you have seen.
Rang De Basanti.
Message for your fellow Indians
