Just loved your comments.

You analysed each character so well without attaching any emotions to them or by judging them. 👏

From yesterday even I have been thinking what is it that has made Payal so bitchy and why have the sisters grown apart with time?

Atleast from the looks of it, Payal and her husband have purposefully made sure the senior Guptas were not at home when Arnav and Khushi arrived. Why would they do it? And whats with the rude behaviour of Payal's son?

And finally Harshad seems to have developed some kind of animosity towards his elder daughter and SIL and has taken liking towards the younger couple. why this change now, why after so many years?

The night Harshad had come home to see his daughter weeping and asking him to heal her wounded heart, I think that was the lowest possible time in Khushi's life.
Sofia had died, Pari had gone even before she had opened her eyes, Arnav had withdrawn into a shell not opening up to Khushi or sharing her pain and had immersed in his work.

Right from childhood Khushi always craved for her parent's love and affection which she never received, sibling love and care was not in her fate but later she found Arnav's love and inturn his mother's affection.

But at that point, six months back, she did not have anyone's love or support, I cannot imagine how much she was suffering or how she coped up with all the losses and loneliness.

I am guessing Khushi came to her parent's house after helping Anjali taking care of Sid when Bella was born and Khushi must have been feeling even lower seeing everyone around her happy and she suffering and struggling alone, everyday to deal with her pain and losses.

For once I am glad that Harshad noticed his daughter's intense pain and gave her a shoulder to lean on and vent out her feelings.

Was this the turning point in his life atleast towards his younger daughter?

Had Payal been mean to her earlier that day?

Are we judging Payal too much and too soon.. It seems to me the marriage maybe in trouble..her retaliation is envy over all that Khushi really has ..? Having money does not equal to happiness - ' Some people are so poor, all they have is money'...

@ bold so true👏 That she indeed is.

@ Red- I too was thinking on the same note. I thought it was more of the complex issue from Payal which may have resulted into her being what she is.

Since we donot have much of her story not that i want her one

could it be superiority complex? the way she is telling about money and the way she is trying to put her baby sister in spot every time with her comments. To make things worst its her mother who is supporting her blindly.

Or is it the inferiority complex? the way you said it: Khushi may be more good looking, a better child, dad's apple of eye, have a loving hubby, have a life without parent's support and the list goes on and on...

In any case at the end of the day its the parenting that made her what she is. (I think)

I agree with your comment, and analysis of that day for Khushi.

I just want to add that she did not have the support from Arnav, because she had alienated him as well as him not opening up about his mother's death.

Being there when Bella was born, had brought back her memories of her stillborn daughter and if Payal had been cruel towards her with her cutting remarks, that might have tipped the scales for Khushi.

At present since we have only Harshad reminiscing about the past, a glance or two of the past from the behaviour of the others, we cannot determine what's happened to make Khushi dread visiting her family.

This anger that Harshad shows towards Payal's remarks might be from seeing his daughter in a new light, maybe there are things that he is discovering about her as they live together; that he might have missed in her earlier visits. I am interested to know your thoughts about it. Maybe Khushi's breakdown and his guilt at how he had behaved before with her and Arnav is making him more affectionate towards them now.

We are in a way a reflection of our upbringing and our parents' values, but I believe that as become adults, we have the opportunity to analyse our behaviour and change. That's why Payal comes across as such a horrid person, whatever it was that caused this rift between them could have been mended. Your signature is very apt for Payal here. I don't think much about the behaviour of Payal's son, yes he was rude, but I think that he was just the catalyst for the tempers to flare and the mighty confrontation that is about to happen.

This procrastination from all of them, has made things exacerbate, so it will get even worse and uglier before their relationships get better. Only if they are willing to make it better.

I am really enjoying reading these discussions, simply remarkable and amazing! 👏

I have to commend you, Genta 👏 for your comment on Chapter 21 and your insights to what make people the way they are. You have looked at each character rationally without any judgement besides the obvious for some i.e. Pratik 😆. It's not easy for us humans to look at things subjectively without making presumptions on how people behave. So I applaud you for your openness... grazie, amore mio 🤗

As for what transpired when Khushi broke down in Harshad's arm that night, I will be giving you a FB scene in the next couple of chapters to show what was going on in her mind. And the dynamics in the Gupta family as you can see is a bit mixed, but you will see why in the next few chapters during their stay all the way to the party. Buckle up my lovelies 😉

I am loving these discussions, please do continue... 🤗

Just like not all 5 fingers in our hands are the same, similarly not all children grow up to be the same in terms of compassion etc.

Some are just insensitive to other's feelings right from childhood. BUT this can be changed over time. If Payal was like that, then it was the responsibility of her parents and others at home to have pointed it out to her and make her understand that she is hurting someone else with her remarks.

My guess is her parents ignored her jibes thinking she will change as she grows older and this might have produced the opposite effect with she becoming more and more mean to Khushi over the passing years.

But as an adult she could have changed her behaviour and the way she thinks, well she did not.

But now it looks like she purposefully wants to hurt Khushi with her remarks and jibes, why??

Also her behaviour is showing its negative effect even on her kids, her son's behaviour is an example to it.

And as you rightly said, living in close quarters with Payal, Harshad and probably even Avni have realised the venom inside Payal's mind, and are probably regretting that they could not protect Khushi from it right from her childhood.

Jigs this is not "Enough". I want much more than just ONE scorching kiss on creaky bed 😕. You left us high and dry. God only knows how Arnav cooled down in couple of hours when I am still trying to calm down 😳.

What a contrasting families Raizadas and Guptas are. Gupta Daadi is so cool and loves her Titatliya and grandson in law a lot. Big hug to Dadi from my side too 🤗. Does she love Payal and Ritvik also the same way? I think, the answer is Yes' and after witnessing Payal's behavior with Kushi I assume Dadi's love is not reciprocated from Payal. Why is this animosity from Payal towards Kushi? Is Payal insecure of something because of Kushi? Or is it jealously because Arnav and Kushi seem to be more successful than Ritvik and Payal? How are Payal and Kushi when they were kids?

It is ok to get disappointed momentarily when things didn't go as we planned but we should learn to live and move on happily from what we have. But looks like Avni is stuck in time wheel and didn't move forward with time. Seems like Avni always prefers Payal over Kushi. But now, why this sudden shift of air between Arnav and In-laws? Did Harshad finally realize what a gem Arnav is or is this his way of trying to mend the past and bring back smile on Kushi's face? Does Avni and Harshad upbringing made Payal very dependent on her parents and where as it taught Kushi to face the world bravely and independently? Payal shouldn't have said what she uttered at the end. I really don't understand why some people find solace in other's misery.

I fell more in love with this husband Arnav who is standing up for his wife in every passing minute and fighting for her respect. I am sure we will witness many more altercations with Payal before the party ends. Let's see if this trip strengthens or breaks down Kushi.
