Khamoshi was a gem however.

Aishwarya's acting was SOOO PLASTIC in the scene, where she slit her vein, fell on that "jhoola" and screeched to her mom...
very superficial performance in that particular scene...she was way too artificial to missout.😆

No, I hated HDDCS. The movie made absolutely no sense to me. It lost the plot in the second half.
I was a fan of Salman when the movie came out, so hated watching Nandini leaving Sameer for Vanraaj, especially when she went through all the trouble for meeting Sameer. Even now I can't watch the second half...

I miss only Khamoshi wala SLB.

At that time his film focused on characters and emotion than just glamour, curtains, carpets, or lame dance sequences.

He has forgotten what simplicity means.

As others have mentioned, I miss the Bhansali who made Khamoshi.
Seeing such amazing actors like Manisha, Nana Patekar, Seema Biswas come on screen together and doing such a fine job was treat. Even Salman was decent. I think he and Manisha had a sweet but scintillating chemistry together.

God I miss the Manisha the who acted in Khamoshi, Bombay, Dil Se, and Akele Tum Akele Hum on screen. I liked her in Anmol, Moksha, Lajja, and Company as well.

She had the perfect mix of innocence and, beauty but there was a realistic quality to her. She wasn't portrayed as some princess living in la la land.

Amazing that the Manisha who brought such soulfulness on screen in movies like Khamoshi and Bombay could also display her hard edges in movies like Company. ❤️
