Mala presses herself on to the wall, hoping that Arjun does not see her. She did not want either to know that she had witnessed all. Arjun rushes past Mala, needing space from Radhika... too shocked by his action. In his haste for distance, he does not see Mala. Radhika stares after Arjun, shocked... Staring at her finger tips, she wonders what it means.
Mala calls out her daughter's name then counts to ten before entering... Wanting to give her several seconds to compose herself. Not wanting her mother to raise questions to which she has no answers or understanding, Radhika wipes her maang clean.
Walking in, trying to keep her panic at bay, asks, "Radhika, what happened? Why did Saral leave? What did Arjun want?" Radhika gives her mum a reassuring smile and says, "momma, relax. Come let's sit and I shall tell you all."
Once seated, Radhika begins, "mum, Arjun sir came to give me my employment contract." Trying to keep her confusion at bay, she continues, "I was made permanent today. Bird Song decided to reduce my probationary period to one month and has given me a six month contract." Excited, she continues, "for the first three months I cannot be fired nor can I resign... And I have to give a one months notice if I want to resign." Her eyes shining bright with excitement, Radhika clutches her mother's arm and says, "mum this means that Saral and I can't get married in one month.he can't force me... This is all thanks to Sam. She must have realized that Saral would not let me fly."
Seeing her daughter caught up in the excitement of having the opportunity to fulfil her dreams, Mala says, "Radhika you knew Saral was adamant we all leave for Hrishikesh. Don't you think it was wrong to commit to your job without convincing Saral first." "Mum, I didn't know," Radhika replies, adding, "Sam gave me some papers to sign. She never mentioned what they were and I did not think to ask. I did not bother reading it. I was so upset that today was my last day that I did not bother reading it."
Looking forlone, Radhika continues, "oh mum, I have made a mess of things. One hand I can't leave my job and on the other Saral will break our engagement." Her eyes tearing up as she thinks of her father, she adds, "papa, mum... Papa will..." Seeing the pain in her daughter's eyes, Mala shakes her head, caress Radhika's cheeks, wanting to reassure her, saying, "don't worry..." Stops as she notices the bruise, sits up and says sharply, "what happened? How did you get this bruise?" Waving her concerns off, Radhika replies, "it's nothing mum... It was an accident." Mala looks at Radhika with sadness and says, "you are lying to me... Saral." Radhika compresses her lips, unable to meet her mother's gaze, lowers her gaze and nods slightly. Patting the back of her hand, Mala says, "don't worry about your dad. I shall speak to him."
Mala looks on as Radhika heads towards her room, desperately wanting to ask her about what she had witnessed... Wanting to demand to know what was going on between them... How dare Arjun fill her maang... What did it mean... Instead Mala clamps her lips shut, unable to voice questions she is too scared to get answers of.

Radhika stares into the mirror, her fingers automatically tracing her maang as she recalls Arjun filling her maang. Confused, she frowns, thinking, "why did he do it? What does it mean? He is getting married to Sam... Why would he..." Frowning further she recalls his words, thinking, "why does he want to hurt Sam? Why would he tell me? Oh gosh, how am I to save Sam from him! what am I to tell her?." Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Radhika mutters to herself, dismissing her worries, her confusion, "he was angry... And when he is angry he just reacts... Lashes out... Bet it means nothing. Just like when he was trying to scare me in the jungle!" As she heads to bed, a small voice whispers in her heart, "but why was he so angry..."

Arjun stands next to his car door, his hand outstretched. His hand trembles as it nears the door handle. Feeling the tremors of disbelief, of something he cannot name, he snatches his hand, staring at his thumb... Spots of dry red blood on its tip. His mind replays him filling Radhika's maang... His heart cries out... Omg, what did I do... he continues staring at his hand with disbelief. Closing his eyes as he mentally basks in that moment he filled her maang... His body... His soul... Calm and content... Accepting of his action. His entire being in sync... His heart calling out... She is mine. His phone rings... He freezes, reading the caller ID... Nandini Di.
He stares at his phone thinking, "omg, how could I forget." Shutting the door to his heart... His soul... His emotions, he thinks angrily, "damn it Radhika! Stay away from me!" Angry with her for weaving a spell on him. Angry with himself for allowing it. He sits in his car as he tells himself, "I am to marry Sam. I am going to marry Sam."
