wonderful post riti
well i just want to say the reason of my loving Karna was just not because he was tragic and unfortunate ( he was no doubt but he was not only one)

i love him because i find him most relatable , all his behaviour makes me feeling i would have said or acted exactly like him given in the same situation except one or two incidents but i agree people often gets carried away

all his qualities and flaws do make him a normal person with extraordinary qualities thats what i love about him.

(damn i can't post longer in my present tensed situation)

I agree with all your views and ofcourse we Karnali's in IF do think alike 😃
My love and admiration 😳 for Karna is not because of sympathy but only how much I can relate to him as a person as a human being.
Frankly speaking when my granny used to tell me stories about MB, Karna's KK intrigued me 😳 much and of course how he was wronged & mocked by people... may be as a child I sympathize with him. But as I grew up, gained some maturity I realized that our lives, our struggles are much similar to what Karna struggled for 5000 years ago... I began to understand his character in depth. He was not perfect...he was a human... just like us. We are not flawless, our imperfections and mistakes makes us learn our lessons of life. We struggle to achieve what we aspire for and so did he; to become a gr8 archer and good and fair person. We do repent and try to right our mistakes and so did Karna till his last breath

I loved these lines ...

He was a human with flaws and weaknesses.. and inspite of these weaknesses...he rose strongly with his strengths... he was man who wore heart on sleeves... and such men do make impulsive mistakes which they later repent too... that doesnt make them any less of man... his repentance made him a bigger man

Wonderful posy Riti

Yes Karna definitely had flaws and made mistakes but so did so many other character's in MB.That is why MB is a relatable epic because most character's are not flawless and commit some type of mistake every now and then

The main reason why i love Karna is because he refused every pleasure and comfort krishna ji offered him.And he did it because he loved the parents who adopted him and his friend.I find that admirable,He is the one character who grows a lot throughout the epic and by the end we have a guy who can over look his personal issues and look at the bigger picture

he clealry told Krishna ji that he knows Kauravs will loose and he will probably die as well yet he didn't change his path because of the relations he believed in and choose to die instead.

And regarding being a woman i am slightly confused what has being a woman or not got to do with liking a character. We like a character because of who the character is and the character's actions and reactions not the gender to which the reader belongs to

nothing more to say...

Epic is not a TV show or a fairy tale story, so no character is completely black or white...

Every character deserves adoration

but yes like you Karna appeals me the most for nth numbers of reasons...😃

🤗Good to see you here panchu.. thanks dearie😊

I am totally agreed with you riti.. 🤗 loving karna is my choice ... 😛 ...if anybody have problem with that then he/she should live with his/her problem..that is absolutely not my headache.. 😛

1.if standing for own pov is a crime then I must support that criminal..
.thank god he did that...he never need to hide behind the musk of so called dharma ..he was very simple person who live his life at his own way...he never thought what society is thinking on him ..or what future gen will think on him...he just did that what he wanted..he did not care anybody...he did fear anyboody and I love his this attitude...

2.if rising question against the rigid social mentality is a crime then I am happy to support that criminal..thank god some ppl like him atleast born on the earth from whom we can get our lesson and inspiration that we should stand against social rigidity...becoz rigidity itself is the biggest crime of the society which leads it to destruction...niyam insaan ke liye bante gain...niyam ke liye insaan nehi bante.. 😛

3.if sute ka Putra sute na banke worrier bana tho ussmein galat Keya hain????Agar aise he chalte rehte tho ajj bhi doctor ka beta doctor..aur prime minister ka beta prime minister bante...kabhi bhi chai dokan chalane wale insaan ke beta prime minister nehi Baan pate.. 😉 ..thank god he arose that agenda 😳

4.he stood against god...he stood against mother..he stood against brothers...he stood against elders...he stood against society...so what wrong in that????were god,his mother, his brothers, his elders, his society ever stood for him????he was not a born criminal...he did not do any crime against them initially...they ist started their negligence towards him thrown him into the never ending black hole of the society...never care that how he was living or whether he was alive or not...never care that how much his heart bleed with their negligence...but when he stood strong then everybody suddenly woke up and start bulling him.. ...those ppl who never gave him anything in their life they suddenly started expecting that he should think for them...is any human being ever do that????even gods also never do that.

5.he stood for his wrong friendship...then what wrong in that??? His friend stood for him and fight for his prestige ...his friend never misjudge him(although he had many scope to misjudge him...but still he rely on him more than himself)...his friend never care for anybody in his life more than him(although he had everything in his life..loving parents...loving elders...loving brothers...loving teachers...loving others friends)which human being on the earth does not support this type of friend ????
6.he was selfish!!!!!!!!I just hope that he would be selfish...neither pandavas...nor kauravas got one single pinch of earth in their hold... they need to wait for kurukshetra upto their next birth 😃

7.charity is a very easy task!!!!! 😆 kash aise hi hota then king of gods ko begger nehi banna parte... 😉

8.misdeed...yes he did misdeed...and he repent also...and he did not do a show off repent like others...he show off his repentance not by his claim but by his action...and those ppl who accuse him for crime they actually do not know what is Hinduism and why its called as one of the finest religion on earth...according to Hinduism repentance is biggest punishment...if a person I repenting for something that means he/she us getting his highest punishment...becoz Hinduism always believe in killing the crime not the criminal 😊
