Hi all. Friday's episode was no doubt fantabulous. There have been umpteen posts on the Confession and I also have made one. Last week was a great week for all reporters fans and and viewers. Every episode was beautifully done and as we expected led to the final confession.
I'm not saying the Confession wasn't good.. it was beautifully and aesthetically done... .but as I watched it and also as I watched the weeks episodes I felt something had been missing...in the wake of the much-awaited confession and kiss I could not put my finger on the missing link. But today being Sunday and moi having time to myself I gradually realised what had been missing. It was between the baingan ka bhartha and Trisha's coffee with Kabir (not my term but what I read on a lovely OS yesterday on our forum).

Please this is just my POV so no offence meant...I feel that if just for a short while we could have seen Kabir realising his feelings for ananya...we did he glimpses of it in the BKB episode when anuraag asked him Point blank if he loved ananya... after Trisha's coffee session and kabir reading the letter he could have been in no doubt as to ananya's feelings for him...Trisha pointedly asked him about hi feelings...that could have been the perfect setting for kabir to go into retrospective mode an think about all their times together...their nok-jhoks... etc...RK would have done a fabulous job of this realisation...he does not nee words...just his eyes, his slight smile, an his expressions would have been worth watching...

Anyways nothing lost yet...it can still be shown as the show progresses and along with it their relationship...

Hope this post is not taken as criticism but I just wanted to share my ramblings/thoughts with the forum...

Waiting for tomorrow...Reporters rocks and so do KaYa and so do the entire cast and crew of this awesome show...

I for one don't think it was needed. Because I always thought he realised his feelings much much earlier. He got his first inkling when he shared Tarini about how he wants to be the one who comforts Ananya, and when she replied that he seems to be more upset than Ananya. His feelings were confirmed when he got upset seeing Ananya in Ronnie's arms. For me, it was not just guilt that made him getting drunk on that day, but also the shock of finding himself in love, that too with a woman who may be already taken, the sequences FBs shown indicated exactly that.

He took his time to come to terms with his feelings. Ananya not visiting him at hospital, then chiding herself for making the friendship pact, the big outburst at his cabin, all these were setbacks, but they didn't waver his feeling. He was very much in love, and that's why her presumed low opinion of him hurt him so much. Yes, he didn't take the next step, but that wasn't because he was unaware of his feelings, but because he thought she is in a relationship already and also because her supposed opinion of him as a womaniser. When the first hurdle is cleared by Trisha, he took the step on his own.

U know what same thinking here,😊 just before the confession when Trisha asked Kabeer if he loved Ananya i wanted to see a flashback of his scenes with Ananya, Really a needed scene it was, Well we can expect this in the upcoming weeks.
In Bold What i was too Thinking.😳

Good point! And as you said there there's scope for fbs. But there were also clues, albeit very tiny at bharta time, resignation time, Ronnie-hug-time, letter-reading time... I'm thinking the CVs played it close to their chests because Kabir was going to make such a complete no-feeling-left-unaired confession. It was quite a comprehensive acknowledgement from a fairly private and subtle character who does not explain himself unlike Ananya whose feelings are aired for the viewers via her confessions to her mother and her friends.
So def a characterization thing, but may also be a pov thing, as they've kept Ananya's feelings transparent but Kabir's hidden. 😊

He is not man of many words or monologues when it comes to his heart! He has "Mystery" written on his forehead with big bold flashing letters!
Yes, in my post of preconfession epi i too had hoped tht he wud have tht happiness feeling bt thn wen we actually saw the confession which was literally in two parts.. Part 1 being from The Kabir Sharma.. and Part 2 being from Ananya's Kabir Sharma my all dbts dispelled! As much as he wanted to believe in tht letter and what Trisha told. he cud not! For one anything Trisha says cannot b taken seriously really and the letter cud mean 100 different things.. it essentially said tht ananya didnt love Ronnie bt it didnt say tht she loved him! though he had always tht inking tht indeed thr was something betn thm but to take it to whole hearted confession wud really take some time from him and a bigger jolt in form of losing her permanently tht wud bring tht real Kabir Sharma to fore!

so it actually went with his character not to sway away in her happy thoughts completely bt now tht confession is done.. i m sure now we will see his "real" thoughts. He wud b opening up to us and Ananya slowly and thnk God it wont luk repetitive!

Good Post to reflect as and aftermath of the intense Confession

Yes that extra bit would have been nice but I tend to agree with @Geetha_R and @tvbug2011:

I too think he had realized he was in love a long time back. Even though he is a character who has built up walls after a trauma, he hasn't pushed his feelings down into his subconscious - He is very much aware of his feelings but would not allow himself to consider them, act on them. I mean man does this man feel!!! He finally let himself consider these feelings after the Baaghi incident but then one after another the MUs happenend sending him behind his walls

And yes the CVs probably wanted to retain the mystery for the impat of the confession

Look forward to seeing the fb's and subtle nuanced expressions in future epis
