Once again a brilliantly written chapter from you, Jenny.
This update made me look at Arnav's perspective in a different light. The reason he behaved the way he did with Khushi is exactly why Khushi is treating him the way she is now. While Khushi is scared of the chance of having to go through the pain of heartbreak all over again, Arnav was scared of just that when he thought Khushi is moving away from him.
He was in pits of darkness before Khushi came into his life and mended his heart with her love. And when Khushi kept wanting more space and time, he was scared to stay with her lest she leaves him, shattering his heart into the pieces it was before he met her. Instead he opted to be the one giving the heartbreak, running away from her and waiting for her to come back to him herself.
While I thought he was being too demanding of her love, I now realize that maybe he was just being insecure of losing her love.
I still don't agree to his ways of how he acted upon it but I do understand him a lot better now.
The star of this update for me is, hands down, Anita. The maturity she shows is way beyond her years and the way she worships(there is no other way to say it) her sister is endearing.
Loved her confrontation with Arnav, she became Khushi's spokesperson asking him all the right questions. But in the end, he did manage to make peace with her, even made her accept him into their family. đ
Sujatha blames Khushi that she failed her as a parent and her upbringing. I say, Sujatha along with Navin has excelled as a parent, atleast the first part where they are responsible for making their two little girls grow into the women they are now, as both Khushi and Anita turned out to be very strong yet sensible individuals.
"What kind of love is this?" asked Anita. And I think I know the answer to that - the purest form of love.
Love that is not tainted one bit, even with the kind of gloom and negativity that surrounded their hearts and minds.
Love that made her read his thoughts and feelings like they are hers.
Love that made him move heaven and earth to correct his follies. Owning up to your mistakes is a big thing for a guy, if you ask me.
Love that is going through severe testing times, only to come out much stronger.
Passionate encounters, waist chain and challenges... Super excited for the next!
PS: I had a major commenter's block (if I can call it that đ ) for writing this. Since I read the update a few days ago, I had so many thoughts running through my head but I just couldn't, for the life of me, put them down in words. I somehow managed to write something and I hope it made some sense. đ
