So..I just realized today, that, though manik isn't really a feminist or anything, but, it has been dhruv who has emphasized the gender aspect of manik and nandini in the beginning.

'ladki ka punch kaisa laga?'

'main toh kehta hoon yeh kya duniya ki sab ladkiyan trouble hain'

Yesterday when manik said 'don't underestimate the power of a woman' i really liked it and i also liked that he stopped harshad from insulting ams not because woh nandini ki grandmother hai but that as an individual, she is elder to them, and to insult her just because shes elderly and a woman, is low. even for harshad.

it says a lot, the way harshad and dhruv treat the women in their lives; differs from the way in which manik (despite the fact that in well, OTHER kinds of shows, treatment like he has received from nyonika would make him this misogynistic character who hates all women); Manik respects people, individuals irrespective of their gender, sexuality, age.

His problems with nandini were not because it was an ego clash between a boy and a girl; it wasn't a gender thing really; it was about individuals conflicting.

it just makes me respect the way these characters have been written, so nuanced, so intricately!

I think Soha and Khuranna card will only play when there is a proper Nyo take-down , because clearing air on them puts Nyo in focus and that would be an all out war.

@Geet- Not surprised you made that observation. One of the reason why I adore Manik is that he has never let his experience with Nyo stereotype women .
