Superb superb musical drama is KKG👏

I was just overwhelmed by the music as well as the story of this play...and the performances are just awesome..Khansaheb, Kaviraj, Uma, Zarina are all flawless, but for me the best is Sadashiv...truly outstanding..his singing reduced me to tears. Saw the ending twice...so moved i was, by both Khansaheb and Sadashiv's acting...Chand and Usman were there only for comic relief...but they were good.

And the songs are pure magic...esp surat piya ki, gheyi chhand makarand and muralidhar shyam...will be listening to these songs on the loop now😳

K2G (Katyar Kalajat Ghusali) saglyana awadale he wachun chaan watale. Khare tar he natak mal watate jawal jawal 50 warsha purvi aale hote.

Pan je changale aste te 'kaalaa-tit' aste hech khare!👏

Hya nimittane kahi junya aathwani -

1. Orignally he natak Natya sampde ne produce kele hote.

2. attachya kal-mrayadet basavanya sathi natak barech edit kele aahe (ani te changalech aahe). Pandintjinchi character ani tyanche scene sampurna-pane cut kele aahet. Chota Sadashiv Pandit-jin kade gane shikato ase don prasang mul natkat aahet.

Pandit-jinchi bhumika 'jeshtha gayak nat Bhargav Ram Achrekar karat asat ani chota sadshiv hota Raghunandan Panshikar (son of Prabhakar Panshikar). Pandatjinche bhajan 'din gele bhajana-vin' he khupach prasidhha hote.

3. Original natkat Sadashiv chi bhumika Prasad Savkar karat asat (Muralidhar shyam hya ganyachi chi record dekhil tyanchyach awajat aahe) ani Kavi Bake bihari kela hota 'Shankar Ghanekar' hyani' Shankar ghanekaranche comedy timing afalatun hote (PuLa cha tyanchya warcha lekh wachanya sarkha aahe)

Pudhe Shankar Ghanekranache nidhan zale ani Prasad Sawkaran-cha awaj kharab zalya war te Bake Bihari cha role karu lagale. Bake bihari's dialogues about his inability of singing became more touching because of this history of Prasad Sawkar😭

4. Mi 15-16 warshacha astana he natak pahilyanda pahile hote. Tyat Sashiv hote 'Prakash Ghangrekar, Pandit jinchya mulichi bhumka 'Janhavi Panshikar ani Kha-sahebanchya mulichi bhumika 'Fayyaz' karat asat. Kha-saheb arthatach 'Pdt VasantRao Despande'

5. Ghei chand makarand ganya-che mild version Pandit Jitendre abhishekncya awajat recorded aahe

6. Chand - usman jari comedy relief sathi asale tari tya weli he roles bahudha Vasantrao deshpandenche gayak shishya karayache.

7. Jawal jawal 35 varsha purvi he natak mi pahile hote ani tya welchya athavani nusar natkachya shevati kha saheb ti katyar swatah-lach marun ghetat ase hote bahutek. (pan khatri nahi). Baryach junya natkancha shevat navyane kartana change kelay e.g Ti Fulrani, Honaji Bala, etc

Baki hya natkacha Cinema karnya chi kalpan chagali aahe karan 'Cinma-la' nataka-che 'technical constraints' nasnar!

Vat pahuya ata yenarya K2G cinemachi!

Even i was wondering why Panditji was never shown during the entire play 🤔 and was there any particular reason why everybody was calling Khan saaheb as Kha-saaheb?

And yes, me too waiting for the movie...still 5 months to go😔

Dilip - i have seen Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande's KKG on doordarshan. Asa asamanya gayak hone nahi. Tyancha natu Rahul kitihi gr8 asla tari tyanchya avajat ji jadu hoti ti vegalich hoti. Arthat apan tya mahan gayaka baddal kai bolnar. Pan tumhi athvan karun dili teva mala athavla ki KKG ha natak tya veli DD var Diwali madhe zala - around 1982 - may be Pu. La. hyanche varyavarchi varat tyach veli relay zale hote. Ani ajunahi hya donhi natkanchi film DD kade aahe.

@Dilip thnx for the info...for my parents it was a treat to see K2G after so many years like u said..they too felt nostalgic and were equally happy with yesterdays version too.

Btw, which version og Ghei Chhand Makarand u guys liked the milder one or the one sung by Khan Saheb later? I liked the later one 😳

@Vidya- khan saheb is pronounced as kha saheb in proper urdu I feel so..the 'n' is supposed to be silent..like how guldastaan is pronounced with the 'n' silent...this is my understanding..I maybe wrong 😳

I missed it 😭 😭 😭

In the afternoon I was taking home work of my son and in d evening guests were there... so missed it... 😭 no worries... in some days it will be available on YT... hopefully... then I will watch...
