Hi my dear partners in Char Kadam!5 months and 10 days ago, 3rd Jan 2015, I started a journey owing to my obsession for a song Char Kadam, a couple IshRa and a forum YHM.
When I started the journey, I knew I could not walk alone...
I needed partners...
But I did not know many in the forum and most did not know me...
So I made a silent request
Bin pooche mera naam aur patha
Rasmon ko rakh kar pare
Char kadam bas char kadam
Chal do na sath mere
Bin kuch kahe
Bin kuch sune
Hathon me hath liye
Char kadam bas char kadam
Chal do na sath mere
In few seconds, there were numerous likes.
As minutes ticked by, comments came flowing in.
And within hours the number of friends in my buddy list doubled.
It was totally unexpected!
The response I received inspired me to write another update and then the next and more.
Initially I had planned it as a Four Shot.
A simple usual story inspired by the lyrics was the main plot.
A girl, who apparently hates strangers, is almost engaged to one and meets another. Forced to spend time with a stranger and falls for him at the end of it, eventually to know that he is the one whom she is getting married too.
Shocked? Surprised?
Yes this was the plot on my mind when I started writing...
Then looking at the comments and the amazing response, I decided to prolong the story.
Trust me Raman was Ajnabi for me until Part 30.
I had even drafted parts 30 to 35 with the big revelation and part 35 being the last part.
When I posted Part 30, the scenario was obvious and everyone had guessed it was Raman with PLASTIC SURGERYđ
Then one straight and crisp comment of Wings-Of-Fire aka Roshnee got me thinking. I realised I could not give such a beautiful story, that gave me recognition as a writer with unique concepts, a totally illogical climax.
Honestlt, I had sleepless nights thinking how I could change the story line without meddling with what was already written.
Somehow I came up with a scenario where Raman meets Ajnabi in a writers conference and that being the reason for his guilt.
I was too lazy to re-write all the 5 parts I had written already so I created scenarios where similar things happened with Raman and Ajnabi at the same time.
I was not very confident about this change but anyhow posted it but exactly this change was the turning point and if I am not wrong most successful part.
@Roshnee this is why I call u my guiding light! Thank you.
Thank you all for the appreciation and the support throughout this journey. I can't help but add in the lyrics of the same song how u ppl supported me throught when I was sick or got busy or was not able to keep up the promise of updating regularly
Raahon me tujhko jo dhoop sataye
Chaanv bichadenge hum
Andhere daraye to jaakar falak pe
Chand saja denge hum
Chaaye udaasi lateefein sunakr
Tujhko hasayenge hum
Hasthe hasaate yunhi gungunate
Chal denge char kadam
I am very poor at saying thank u bt whenever I do it comes from the bottom of my heart.
When I say that I can't thank u all enough I literally mean it.
We had begun our journey deciding to walk Char Kadam, now I see that u ppl want to walk more. Seems like u r saying
Tumsa mile jo koi rehguzar
Duniya se koun dare
Char kadam kya sari umar
Chal dungi sath tere
I too don't want this journey to end
Did I just say that!?
