Chapter 39
Ragav places a hurried peck on Kalpi's forehead and quietly leaves their bedroom not wanting to wake her from her sleep. Being a light sleeper, Kalpi stirs from her sleep, calling out as Ragav reaches the door, "don't leave without having breakfast. Wait up... I am coming."
His hand on the door knob, he stops, turns, his gaze filled with pride and love as he watches his six month pregnant wife walk towards him... Caressing her womb, she looks at her womb and says, "good morning."
He moves to the side, letting her pass, his fingers automatically tucking the loose strands of hair behind her ear, says, "you grow more beautiful with each day." His hand resting on her womb, love shining in his gaze, he says in a voice filled with emotion, "I love you so much."
Laughing, she pushes his hand away, walking towards the kitchen, says, "you have a meeting you can't miss... Come have breakfast." Grinning sheepishly, Ragav follows after her.
Suddenly he drops to the floor, his chest hurting... His head hurting... Perspiring profoundly... Ragav quickly loosens his tie and opens the collar button of his shirt, gasping for air... he shouts out for Kalpi. Panicking as darkness takes over.
Kalpi rushes over to him, engulfing him in a hug, panicking...not sure what to do... All she knows is she needs to hold him... As the minutes go by... he calms down... The darkness disappears... The pain disappears... They remain in the same position... Him resting his head on her lap... And she caressing his head. Trying to sound strong, Kalpi says, "the attack is over... Phew." Ragav responds by taking her hand into his. Kalpi continues, "Ragav please see a doctor. I couldn't bear it if..."
Turning around, seeing the worry in her eyes, Ragav says reassuringly, "Kalpi nothing can harm me. With you by my side... I am invincible." He tries to stand up, but Kalpi holds him back, saying, "don't go." "Kalpi I have an important meeting," Ragav responds. Shaking her head, not letting go of his hand, she repeats, "don't go."

Ragav rushes home excited, he could not believe that he had missed the momentous moment. His daughter had come to the world two weeks early. His Avantika... Avni in short... Chuckling he strides out of the lift and along the corridor, as he recalls Kalpi muttering over the phone last night, "how was I to know our little angel is in a hurry to meet her papa."
Balancing a huge bouquet of flowers and teddy in one hand, he unlocks his front door. Suddenly he drops to the floor... Chocking... Gasping for air... Panic settling in at the ferocity of this attack. Unable to call for Kalpi... Ragav's heart cries out against the darkness that takes over... No... No... I need to see my wife and daughter...
