Chapter 1 : The wait
6 pm : Khushi was irritated 🤢🤢.
10 min later : She was pissed😡😡😡.
15 more min later : She was glaring at her parents 😡😡😡and then at her younger sister. She cursed the rain outside. She wanted to stomp her feet, get up , run and never come back. She was fidgeting in her seat. Suddenly her cotton sari had become very troublesome. She cursed herself as in why she opted for a saree in the morning instead of a suit.
She had stopped dressing up for occasions like this. Her father had made a comment earlier about wearing a bright colored sari and she had simply ignored it. Her father had not bothered her again.
Her mind was trying to calm her heart .'Wait for few more minutes Khushi, then you can go home. Don't show any verbal emotions now. After this waiting fiasco your dad is not going to bother you again for next 3 months atleast '.
5 min Later :
Khushi could not take it anymore . She turned to her father and said, teeth clenched but as calm as possible," Papa, if your chief guest is not arriving in 5 more mintues, I will leave. You can meet him without me. Come on , Papa even the waiters in this fast food joint are staring us. We are waiting here for past half an hour with only a single coffee shared between 4 people'.
Her father sighed and said OK beta. Then suddenly his mobile rang. He picked it up. Khushi only heard OK from his side.
He disconnected the phone and said," Actually the guy is struck in traffic jam ". It will take him 10 more minutes to come here".
On hearing this Khushi blew up," What ? We have been waiting here for the past half an hr. He already knew the meeting time didn't he? My office is also in the same route. Didn't I leave early to reach here on time? Am I not tired after coming here directly from office without any chance of changing my cloth ? Just because I am girl, I am supposed to wait for a guy ? Bend to the guys whims and fancies?Why is it so important to you ? ".
Her father got irritated ," Enough Khushi. We will wait for 15 more minutes and then we will leave. I will not discuss more".
On hearing his fathers irritated tone, all 3 women kept quiet.
After 10 min Khushi noticed a car just entered basement parking. Her father exclaimed . He was here. Finally Mr Arnav Singh Raizaada had graced the lesser mortals like her, with his presence.😡
