Now that Kabir Khan is back from the shooting of his 40-day schedule in Kashmir, the buzz doing the rounds in Mumbai is that the eagerly awaited Bajrangi Bhaijaan won't be able to make it into theatres as per schedule on Eid.

"I don't know where that came from. I was in Kashmir shooting with virtually no communication with Mumbai when this rumour of a delay was spread," says the soft-spoken but resolute director.

Taking a deep breath he adds, "We've finished all the shooting and are now into post-production. We are most definitely releasing on Eid as per schedule. There is no change in that plan and there won't be any."

Kabir admits the film's first look has taken longer than expected. "But that's only because the first look of my earlier film with Salman Khan, Ek Tha Tiger came out well in advance. With Bajrangi Bhaijaan I had no time to cut a first-look or trailer as I was shooting non-stop."

Kabir promises the first look will be out very soon. "In a few days we'll put out the first look and then the trailer shortly after that."

Kabir Khan is aware of the heightened expectations from the film. They don't daunt him. "I've never worked thinking of how the audience would react. I am aware there is added interest in Bajrangi Bhaijaan because of Salman Khan. Believe me, he will be seen in a completely different avatar in this film. What he did in my Ek Tha Tiger was very different. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a film that would showcase a very different aspect of Salman's personality."
