also i again saw the episode where in nandu says lets be friends. what i really loved was that later on when everything was sorted between them manik actually acknowledged the fact that he was really rude to her and said that it was wrong on his part to be rude to her. this is soo refreshing😳 also it was a tiny thing but i noticed how despite being angry and upset at nandu he still wore the jacket she choose for him. i mean any other show they would actually have hero go all ott with this issue doing what not to hurt the girl and then forgetting all about it😛
@Bold- That scene was the game-changer. He has internalized everything since then. He always listen to her. Infact why ManBir sell is not just because Cabir brings a sounding board to him but Manik listens to Cabir as well. Boy is very perceptive that way.
Lol I know any other show , he would have blasted Nandu about that friendship thing, boy did show his anger but the moment she asked for him to listen calmly he did and then agreed. Also the way he said thank you to her for not giving up on him even when he was angry- rare again.
Or when he told Nandu that anger is not allowed between them ( FC track for all it's worth elevated Manik as a character and set him aside the clone Gul MLs)
His change is not because of love but because of his other most important trait that is he listens , internalizes and respects. Communication scores there.
Manik is one of the best written ML of desi tv. Struggle is with Nandu, but even then they try to work within her character constraints.
He is still the kamineena, today's nuzzle was his old MO but it came with him asking her immediately if she was "okay". That right there sold them scene to me more.
@CooChi- See in theory nice parallels. Problem is there was so much disconnect with Navya as a character that it could never be sold to us. Navya, Dhruv are two character who lost audience intially . Former thanks to her delusions which becomes annoying and latter because he was dumped down beyond to let Manik shine. All show's requirements though.
I think Nandu-Manik dynamics became a sort of benchmark and if we compere any other relationship or character they will always fall short.
