We half expected Sonam Kapoor to raise the bar for her second red carpet appearance at the 68th Cannes Film Festival on Monday and the girl didn't disappoint.

Sonam Kapoor walked the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab couture gown for the premiere of the movie Inside Out'. The feathered gown is from the designer's Spring 2015 Couture line.

It's a look that is likely to get a mixed response, particularly because of that overtly feathered bust that runs downward from the neckline to the midriff on the sides.

We love the fact that Sonam had sleek mid-parted hairdo and we also approve of the Chopard jewellery she opted for.

It was clearly not an easy look to pull off, but Sonam Kapoor appeared to be doing it with flamboyance.

Full marks for Sonam Kapoor's verve and vivacity.

Sonam Kapoor dons a dress by Indian designers Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla for the second time at 68th Cannes Film Festival.

After her jaw-droppingly hot look in a Jani-Khosla sari at the photocall on Saturday, Sonam Kapoor opted for the designer duo again for the Chopard party on Monday.

Sonam Kapoor is attending the Cannes Film Festival as the L'Oreal brand ambassador. She attended the Chopard party wearing this lovely black and gold butterfly dress by Jani-Khosla.

Chopard is the official partner of Festival De Cannes and has adopted the theme of gold for all its activities during the Festival in honour of the 60th anniversary of the Palme d'Or.

Sonam Kapoor complemented the look with shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood. Smokey eyes and sleek hairdo rounded off the look well.

In a nutshell, Sonam looked smart and spiffy.
