Sindhu, your guess is cent per cent right. 😊 There may be difference of opinion between Salim and Jalal about Anarkali. There will be tensions between Jalal and Murad about the latter's audha being taken away from him. I think Jalal may ask Salim to choose between the title of Shah-i-Shah or Anarkali. He will choose her and hell will break loose in the Agra mahal.

Have you noticed a pattern in the story depiction. If a peaceful loving relationship is shown between Jalal and Jodha, definitely an ill-will and uneasiness will follow. Similarly now we see a calm, loving, peaceful camaraderie between Jalal and Salim, I fear that tensions and strain will soon follow.

I think the cvs r looking at other serials who r gaining trp n trying to get ideas from them. Sasural simar ka suddenly shot up in trps after a paranormal track was introduced so i guess the cvs thought y not try it. If executed well it could b a trp booster. I only wish they do show sweet moments alongwith the sad n torturous ones n show a strong jodha ready to battle all for her husband...just like the adamant n stubborn one in benazir track who refused to give up no matter what everyone told her.

After I saw the Jodha 'vachan' part, I'm almost convinced that there is more than what meets the eye. Besides the 'witchcraft' part, which is EK's idea of Creativity, 😡 I think that Birbal and Jodha definitely have a plan up their sleeve. Several weeks back, while interacting with Jodha, the royal astrologer predicted a tumultuous phase in the relationship between Jalal and Salim. Strangely, it is Jodha who is undergoing a lot of trauma, whereas the relationship between Jalal and Salim seems to be getting better, (touch wood). His equation with Murad however, may be in troubled waters.

Aah. Exams.

Witchcraft, hocus-pocus, sorcery whatever it is, such tracks cant take the place of well executed historical tracks can they? However this is a well informed decision taken by the CV's, cause since Sasural Simar Ka and Qubool Hai introduced the paranormal angle, they have been seeing increasing TRP's.

However as you said, I believe that TRP's are directly linked to how the leads are shown. So if they want this track to garner TRP's they will HAVE to make sure that whatever happens that love and trust established between Akdha does not break down because of this 'chudail'. Even if Jalal is somehow entranced by the Chudail, if they show Jodha standing by Jalal, because she knows her Jalal, and knows he is not capable of doing anything negative to her, then this track might actually turn out well.

Charu, no relation is ever safe. Now all is fine between Salim-Jalal, but their opposing views on Anarakali may as well start a new problem because Salim is all set to Marry Anar the minute he becomes Shah-I-Sha. And Jalal and Murad already seem to be having problems, and I dont blame Murad for it.

I don't want repetition of antics of MC Begum again.
There was a show, i heard, where a witch was introduced, don't remember the name, though.

Abhay, thanks for the writeup. Just watched the episode.

It is difficult to say anything about the episode while keeping a straight face. It sure was whacky.

But then, I have always known that the serial had only superficial resemblance to history. That was right from early few episodes where our Jalal went into Rambo mode and made a neatly piled mountain of enemy corpses. I knew then what to expect.

I watch this serial for three things, Akbar's name, Rajat's acting and Jalal-Jodha interaction. Everything else is usually filler material. So, they could shoot a scenario on the moon, for all I care, but as long as the above three are present, things will be tolerable.

On a side note, why this sudden, desperate desire for ratings. They never cared about it when they went for the leap, ignoring the screams of everyone that the leap would plunge ratings. So, why now?

In all this, I really feel for you Abhay. You have been passionate about history and have presented it an entertaining manner for all to appreciate. You must have had expectations from the serial, but then you are also intelligent enough not to expect anything from fools. And mind my words, there are no bigger fools than Ekta and her bunch of failed writers masquerading as CV's.

Aady, sorcery was commonplace in the 15th Century, is practiced in several parts of the world even to this day. I wish this aspect is never ever shown by any channel at all. It is a blatant showcasing of unnecessary evil. The outcome is purely negative.

In keeping with the dignity and strength of character necessary for Mallikka-e-hind, I hope that Jodha is depicted as strong in facing this new black-magic situation thrown at her. I fully agree with your views that Jodha has to be shown having faith in Jalal's love. I want her to recognize the symptoms of witchcraft playing havoc with Jalal's mind. Maybe the royal jyotish Pandit Bhadrinath can provide a solution. I have read that there are appropriate rituals done for getting rid of the effects of these spells. They are like an antidote for the negative effects of black-magic. Why should a regressive idea like this be even incorporated into the storyline? More than inducing fear, its inducing anger in me.

You are bang on in saying that no relationship is ever safe. The Creatives have depicted Jalal as a person with poor parenting skills, not only with Salim but also with Murad now. They need a new character to play the male negative role, so they have created a situation wherein Jalal reinstates Salim as Shah-e-shah, thereby upsetting Murad. Anyone in Murad's position would be outraged.

Jalal/Jodha's troubles are far from over. Once the effect of this witchcraft wears off, and matters are hunky dory between them, they will have to face issues with Salim concerning Anarkali, Murad will revolt against Jalal's decision of taking his audha away from him. Rukaiyya will once again try to manipulate the upset Salim against Jodha/Jalal. She may also try to instigate Murad against Salim/Jalal.

I am curious to know if these vampires have been sent by one of Jalal's enemies to cause disturbance in his life or if they are regular inhabitants of the darkness waiting to prey on a passerby. Could Rukaiyya have a hand in this voodoo fiasco?
