Part 9

"Hello? Oh hey, yeah...nope...I thought so. Ok....so you will? Do you really think it'll work though? I'll try my best. It's not really one of my skills you know? Shut UP! That is so mean! Yes...okay Bye!"

"So....kaun tha?" Karan casually asks.

"Oh...just Sameer from uni."

"Sameer? Who's he?"

"Oh, he just came from Bangalore. He's really sweet and poor Maya, he teases her like crazy, oh and he's the guy who is Maya's chem. partner."

"Wherever I go, there is something new!? Over there with Maya there is some new Rahul, and over here, she keeps talking about Sameer! God....I was gone for like what 4 days?" Karan thinks.

"Karan, what's wrong, you've got a weird look on your face?" Rushvi asks.

"Oh nothing...I was just thinking about you."

"Me? But I'm right in front of you?" Rushvi says confused.

"I know....I was thinking about you in another way..."

"another way? You're scaring me Karan..." Rushvi tells him.
Karan goes and holds her by the shoulders.

"Just suppose, what if we weren't friends? What would we be?" Karan asks her in a gentle voice.

"IS he....oh wow, is he saying what I think he's saying?" Rushvi thinks.

"We'd be acquaintances?" Rushvi says fully aware of what he's trying to say.

"No...imagine if we had met, as common friends, like we are now, do you think anything could have ever happened between us?" Karan asks.

Rushvi opens her mouth to answer him, but Karan puts his hand on her lips to stop her from saying anything.

"Don't answer me just yet. I will wait for your answer tomorrow...when we meet at the mall. Okay? I'll be waiting for you at the Cafe Coffee Day, come there with Maya and Rahul, but I'll be able to tell through your facial expressions about what you feel, and so don't worry about saying anything. Bye. Oh and by the way, this nightie looks adorable on you!"

Karan leans down to her cheek and gives her a quick kiss and goes back down the ladder, while Rushvi is immensely happy.

Next Day

"What do I wear? Shit...I'm freaking out, and Maya isn't even answering her damn cell phone! Ugh! Stupid Karan....had to complicate everything by making me tell him today! I mean couldn't he just tell yesterday that I like him in THAT way?" Rushvi whispers to herself, while in her walk-in closet.

At the Cafe Coffee Day

Karan is waiting patiently for the other three to arrive, but to his surprise, someone else comes to his table.

"Hi, can we sit here? There's no room anywhere else." A girl says.

Karan looks up and sees a girl standing with a guy holding her by the shoulders.

"Umm...I'm actually waiting for some people....but you can sit down until they come." Karan answers.

"Thanks man, I'm Aditya. Adi for short and this is my girlfriend Ruchika, Ruchi for short." The guy introduces himself.

Aditya:
Ruchika:

"No thanks, I'm Karan."

Adi and Ruchi sit down, sitting fairly close together, sipping their coffees. Karan sees Maya and Rahul approaching and so he stands up.

"Hey Maya. How are you? Rushvi's not with you?" Karan says all at once.

"Hi to you too, I'm fine, and no she's not, as you can probably tell." Maya answers.

"Hi Karan....main bhi hoon yahaan...in case you didn't notice." Rahul adds in smugly.

"Very funny Rahul. Anyways where is she? Do you have any idea?" Karan asks.

Maya shrugs. "I'm sure she'll be here soon."

Where could she be? Is there a certain reason she chose not to show up? Please do leave comments.

LOL Karun is now getting jealous 😆 😆 😆. Rushvi, u can;t talk to Sameer like that in front of Karun, he may go and swing his cricket bat through Sameer in anger LOL 😆

OMG is Karun like an idiot when it comes to saying these things???? 😆 😆 😆 Its like come on, he is saying just about everything on this world, apart from the one thing Rushvi wants him to say 😆 . But I guess he just takes after the person he is based on with this topic lol 😳 😳 😳
