Yeah, it was a terrific episode. Today I enjoyed watching the only 2 shows I watch these days :)
1. Salima Begum spoiled the party for me today. Oh, why did she have to stop Ruq? đ The poor maid - no one spared her a thought. Everyone was busy comforting Ruq... Hamida Banu didn't even bother to meet Jodha and inquire about her well-being, though she rushed to see Ruq. Salim too first went to Ruq ammijaan and then came to Jodha.
I satisfied myself by thinking that he came at least now.
I remember the earlier scenes of Hamida Banu and Jalal. Hamida always greeted Jalal with a kiss on the forehead. I wonder why Jodha and Salim don't meet like a typical mother-son.
This constant rattle of MEH and SS for his parents is so irritating with regard to Salim's dialogs. đĄ When Jalal mentioned he was glad that Salim was with his mother, he replied something like it was his duty as a prince. !! Sheesh!!!
3. How come so many of Jalal's men couldn't catch the maid who brought the shawl, but the hawk-eyed Salima Begum could just look and catch sight of her, scurrying away??
It was indeed a treat and a shock too to watch Jalal actually PUNISH someone...And that too, with so much feeling /passion...
4. Salim was a changed man today. Sometimes I seriously think this Salim has multiple personality disorder. đ
8. I mentioned this in yesterday's thread also. Why is Hamida suddenly worried about maintaining relations with the Shah?
She was initially against Jodha's conversion and asked Jalal to decide course of events. She didn't say anything when Sheikh Mubarak was reminding Jalal about the Shah's favors to the Mughals. She was quite approving when Salim announced in DEK that Akbar should take decision on his own and not be dictated to by the Shah.
Abhay, can MM go against the decision of the emperor?
10. Khudabanda??!! He was a weak and ineffective ruler. Here he is strong and "independent." At least I know his name now đ
11. Yes, I also feel (in fact, earlier also I felt) that Hamida really wants Jodha to convert this time. But the CVs have introduced this most inconsistently. If they wanted this, then right from the beginning of the track, they should have shown Hamida siding with the Shah.
Precap: that's it! This scene should have been avoided. The brothers were fighting like roadside ruffians today...
Abhay, yeah, you are right - today's episode was something we could sink our teeth into - it had a great deal of substance and the story is moving well despite the NR. Let's hope this continues . till end of track.đ
