Somewhere in Chandigarh he was busy in Board of Directors meeting. They were discussing about the new product that they were going to launch. Its significance, pros and cons etcetera etcetera. Its been Half an hour since the meeting has started but none of them reached the closure. Some are satisfied with the product where as some are still topsy-turvy regarding the cost and future inflation of the product. Its more like a debate than a meeting. He got up from his seat from the middle of the meeting and stood near podium. Gentlemen it seems like run-of-the-mill meeting. We are here to discuss not to argue and moreover arguements escalates conflicts. You people are working for my company and im exactly paying you for that. And being the boss of the company i need to contemplate everyone's opinion for that I want your amalgamation not your riven. Don't drag your personal issuses into professional lives and don't use my company to set your personal equations. So, gentlemen take your own good time, ventilate among yourselves, come to some good terms. Assume it as a request or suggestion or order its upto you. I have no objection in that. If anything matters is company's growth and i won't spare when company's profit and its reputation is at stake so collaborate. Though he said all these with a smile but everyone over there can fathom the iracund in his voice.
He call it a day nd ended the meeting. Everyone dispersed from the meeting hall. He was about to leave but stopped when a familiar voice called out for him. Welldone young man, you possess all those qualities of a successful business man. Thankyou Mr. Kapoor, but may i know what brought you here. I think 29years is good enough to get into a relationship and won't you think you should tie a knot with the girl of same status.
Mr. kapoor right now my only objective is to expand my business and FYI i never cared about the damn status. According to me a girl's real status is her character and attitude, not her dinero. Well, youngman how about having a dinner at my mansion, its a great cachet to have a successful business man at my mansion and moreover my daughter Divya prepares good Marathi dishes. He was now in his own cabin with no one around to pester him. He took out his mobile from his pocket "Everyone one is behind me, i've become a scapegoat here. i don't know why everyone is so agog to get their daughters hook up with me. But you're the only one for me. This time i've escaped by saying ayi, baba's wish is my wish but i don't till how long i can escape them. She served the tea in two cups and handed them to varad and niranjan. Aastha was glancing towards kitchenette and just then Anjali came there and aastha served a cup to anjali. They were relishing the tea with every sip. "Seriously aastha no one beats you in preparing tea" said varad by taking another sip. Not only in preparing tea, no one competes aastha in preparing delicious dishes too" added niranjan. All the while anjali stayed silent. She knew she is the reason behind that silence. She hurted her aunty but it's not a deliberate act. But somewhere she felt she was rude towards her. She was guilty and she wants to apologize her. So, inorder to rectify her mistake Aastha sat beside anjali and lightly stroked her hand. Anjali hold her hand and smiled assuring that she is fine and not offended by her words. She too smiled and moved closer towards her and hugged her aunty cum mom.
Beta is everything going fine over there at home? Asked niranjan. Ji uncle every thing is fine. How is Dadi ma and papa? Dadi along with some of her allies went to vaishno devi yatra and papa is fine. You don't worry about your friend uncle. And what about ashwini, how is she? Its been ages since we met ashu said anjali. Ha aunty she is fine too but the thing is she is more indecorous now-a-days. Aastha she is a juvenile. Don't berate her warned anjali. As soon as she completed everyone over there including rani and seeta started laughing as if someone has sprayed laughing gas. Acha it means, the great majesty not even leaving the dogs. Even dogs are getting into the list of his nemesis said niranjan still laughing. Niranjan stop it said anjali unable to control her laughter. You know uncle he'll always be a laughingstock. Ya beta you're damn right.
By the way, Dada you're so early today? Ya aastha there was no emergency case at hospital and this whole week was damn hectic with patients, surgeries. And moreover im feeling exhausted. So, i turned up early. Acha aastha do tell me one thing did the dog bite shlok? I don't know dada, but initially i noticed him wincing when the dog caught his leg and then he fell into the pit. After that he neither winced nor broached anything about the bite and the pain. How he'll mention beta he was so busy in the pit playing with the mud said niranjan. Baba, will you please stay quite for few minutes. Ya beta sure he said and picked a magazine. Dada, easy why are you getting so tense? No aastha dog bite is dangerous. However we don't know whether the dog carries any diseases like rabies and parvovirus. Do you know rabies results in the death of a person and the causes of that virus is due to dog bites.
Is it true varad. Now anjali and niranjan started to fret about shlok. It means our shlok... stop it ayi, baba. Hold your horses its a matter of one injection. He is not going to die atleast not so soon. There is ample of time for that and it seems you both already started preparations for his cremation. Shut up varad don't you dare to speak such bad omen said anjali by gritting her teeth. For a sec varad was shocked and frightened. Then he raised his lashes and looked at niranjan and noticed the same vexation on his face. Im sorry ayi baba he mumbled. He got no response. I thought it was your usual antics so i blurted such things but i don't mean them please pardon me. Its ok beta but next time choose you words before you blurt said niranjan. Varad simply nodded his head.
They were back to their usual self and resumed their chit chat about random things. They turned their heads when they heard the whistle sound. There he comes, the great shlok agnihotri said niranjan with a smirk. He noticed everyone is staring him. He came near them "All eyes on me. I know i look Handsome but that doesn't mean to pass lecherous looks at me" said shlok looking at niranjan. You brat said anjali by whacking his head with a tray. Sorry ayi stop it now. He sat beside anjali when a familiar smell of tea hitted his nostrils. He without doubt can say that it was a Tea prepared by aastha. Niranjan observed him and said "Have the Tea shlok. Don't be meek, feel free. House is all yours". Yeah i know, no need of you reminding me. Shlok is this the way to speak to your baba? Ayi please, if its bothering you then tell him to get a bike for me. Acha aastha when your exams are going to start? Next week uncle. Im not asking about internals beta, im asking about end semesters. I don't know uncle.

Next time don't you dare to speak such filth infront of me or else i'll kill you with my own bare hand said anjali while tears made their way down her cheeks. For a sec shlok stood there flabbergasted, as he was unable to comprehend why his ayi crying. He cupped her face and slowly wiped her tears with his thumb "Ayi im sorry. I don't mean to hurt. Its my daily nautanki ayi. I thought you'd enjoy like you do daily. But im sorry ayi. I promise i won't speak such things from now on" he said and took her into a soft hug.
Enough shlok you've created enough drama. Save some for next episode said varad. Ok now show me your leg. Why do you want to cut it? Shut your mouth and show your leg. He slowly placed his leg on coffee table and varad started to examine the dog bites on his leg. He inspected the wound for a good 5mins and said "Shlok you're classes scheduled till afternoon right? Ya dada. Alright, then come to hospital tomorrow after college. Why dada? To get injection. WHAT he almost shouted causing everyone to look him. Dada im not a kid to get injection i can manage this. I know you can manage but injection is necessary shlok. But why dada? Dog bite is dangerous so you need to get injection even if dog scratches. But dada. Shlok, no ifs and no buts stop behaving like a kid. Aastha tomorrow after college get him to hospital. I know the address of hospital. I'll come by myself no need of aastha coming along with me. Dada i'll come along with shlok said aastha before the two brothers starts the debate.
She served the tea to shlok and sat beside anjali. She rested her head on her shoulder and was about to say something but she felt someone clamping her eyes shut from behind. Guess who? Swetha you here? Ya di im here? You didn't go to school? No di i feel a little feverish so i thought to take rest. Aunty why did you not said that swetha is at home. I forget to say aastha but why are you so tense? Nothing aunty, shlok she called out his name causing him to chock on his tea. What aastha? Shlok, Ashu is alone at school and it's already 4, school timings are over. Arey beta sameer is with her don't worry said niranjan. Arey baba that is the only problem, sameer and ashwini means "Two swords in a scabbard" replied shlok. Dada give your car keys please. Shlok be careful said varad and handed over the keys to shlok. Don't worry dada i'll take care of myself. Oh please My worries are not about you, about my car said varad to which shlok tossed a flower vase onto him.
Aastha come lets go said shlok. Aastha don't go home come here itself. But aunty i have lot of work at home. No aastha come home straight warned anjali. Don't worry ayi i'll get both the sisters right in to our home. Aastha come said shlok by holding her hand and ran towards the door but stopped at the doorway "Dada if you want your car safe and in good condition then ask baba to get me a bike or else think bout buying a new car" said shlok and disappeared without hearing the string of curses his brother passed to him.
