SRK trailing behind other Khans these days shows that somewhat people are beginning to get bored of him. I think he is now being watched only for nostalgia. Even his hardcore fans admit his looks are affected and are no longer the same.

See, SRK was the most overexposed star from 90s through 2000s. Whereas other Khans were not. The resurgence of Salman and Aamir is due to audience "rediscovering" them. The latter clicks due to scripts and past credibility and the former's antics, people have started focusing on only from 2009. For single screen audience he was the hero they had been missing since last few years and for some he is still the wronged or misunderstood guy with heart of gold like Radhe or Sameer. You will likely appreciate a man in masala films and not a boy. In his niche, who is there to replace him? Newbies who try to copy him or pay tributes to him should not hope to be taken seriously or considered his replacement/successors.

SRK is overexposed, Aamir is a recluse, so who is left for nostalgia ridden audience? Salman!
