Part 12

Khushi was at her beau Shyam's house as per her parent's request, or rather forcing.
She was nervous, not because she was meeting her prospective groom but she was nervous to face Arnav after this.
Though she had always maintained a straight face and unflinching composure, she knew what turbulence had evaded her mind ever since the wave of realization struck her.
And today, weird feelings were engulfing her as she was stepping into Shyam Manohar Jha's house.
After ringing the bell, the door clicked open revealing a young, not a very handsome man infront of her. But there was something about him which repelled Khushi from him.
There was a glint in his eyes, which she didn't miss to ponder about.
" Khushiji?" asked Shyam, with extremely affectionate voice.
"Yes. Is this Shyam Manohar Jha?" asked Khushi in a confident voice.
" Haan. Please come in." said Shyam, while a weird smirk formed on his face, making Khushi reminiscence about Arnav's smirks.
Shyam guided her in, while Khushi who was lost in Arnav's thoughts was acting as if she was looking at the house.
" Want to take a tour of the house, Khushiji?" asked Shyam, as a plan had struck his evil mind.
" Um..Yeah Sure!" said Khushi, as she was unsure about what to speak, as her situation was really complicated.
Shyam was explaining to her about each nook and corner of the house, while all Khushi was doing was thinking about Arnav,
How did this guy evade my mind to this extent?
Why did he engrave his name on my heart?
What did he do to me, that my body craves to his touch?
When did my soul get so attached to him?
Those were the questions, whose answer was just the same,
Love.
Shyam taking the advantage of the situation guided her to his room, where he locked the door as Khushi entered in.
The clicking of the lock made her regain her consciousness from the reverie that was created by Arnav's thoughts.
" What are you doing?" asked Khushi, in a confused voice.
" You know Khushiji, the first time I saw your picture, many sinful feelings evoked in me. But after seeing you directly today, I felt i can't stop myself from doing it." said Shyam, while taking long strides towards Khushi and locking her in his embrace.
Khushi felt disgusted at his words and the disgust intensified with his touch.
" You can't do this! Leave me or else the consequences will not be good for you!" said Khushi, fiercely.
" Who thinks of consequences when a bewitching beauty is in front of you?" said Shyam while pushing her on the bed, and hovering on top of her.
Khushi felt the world collapsing all over again for her but this time Arnav's thoughts stopped it from happening.
Khushi pushed him away from her with all the strength she had and slapped him roughly.
The whole room resonated with that slap sound and his heart was angered by this as her slap was a direct hit on his manly ego.
" Don't even dare to come near me, the next time" said Khushi, fiercely while trying hard to control those tears which were threatening to fall down from her doe-like eyes.
She immediately ran out after enunciating her thoughts to the evil snake in front of her while Shyam decided to wait for the right time to make Khushi payback for that slap.

Shantivan,
Anyone who had been in Khushi's place would crave support from all, but now she couldn't tell anyone about this. As everyone was busy in some Pooja Preparation. And telling Arnav, would not be a very good idea, thought Khushi.
She was on the terrace of Shantivan, looking at the twinkling stars in the dark sky. How much they reminded her of Arnav?
Wasn't he just the love, the hope and the only shimmer in her darkness filled life?
But unknown to her, her love, her husband was watching her from behind, as he was mesmerized by the beauty she reflected in the moonlight which lingered on her petite frame.

He didn't know why she kept herself closed from him ever since the day they got married. But her eyes always reflected the burning flame of love and pain in her, which had the potential to burn her too.
He had seen her fight with her mind, which always wanted his presence, which always craved for his love and always pined for his attention. But why she fought against those wishes her mind beheld, he didn't know.
He had seen her eyes misted with tears, and clouded with pain, due to him. He knew the answer to why her eyes were misted but he wanted her answer why does he become the reason of that pain. Isn't it love that caused it? But she never wanted to confess.
He saw the pain in her eyes, when she spoke to him about annulling their marriage. Though those words had hit him like storming winds, he knew what her heart was going through while saying all those things to him. He wanted to know, why did she distance herself from him, when she wanted him more than anything in the world.
" What are you doing here? Thinking about me?" asked Arnav, naughtily expecting a scolding from Khushi.
But very much to his shock, Khushi didn't scold him but hugged him tightly while crying uncontrollably.
Arnav was too shocked to react but as her sobs intensified, he reciprocated the hug tightly, while caressing her back hoping to calm her down.
" Calm down, Khushi. Relax." said Arnav, while kissing her hair, trying to calm her down but what he didn't know was that, though she found solace in his arms, that solace was too painful for her.
Will they ever find solace in their love?

Khushi is an idiot to enter a stranger's house, without her parents around...and than getting lost in her beau's dream...m sure Shyam will present this scenario in a different way, who knows what trick he has planned...might create an MU between Arnav n Khushi...

does Khushi's family know bt her marriage drama ? how is staying with Arnav, if her parents arent aware of it...and how are they allowing it n still fixing marriage with shyam, if they know of arnav n khushi's plan ??

also how can they send her alone to meet shyam ? what kind of parents are they ? usually parents dont behave like that...

i wish Khushi tells Arnav bt this incident else she is setting up for a big heart break for herself n arnav...

update was fab, ur writing style is good...just some questions i had which i mentioned above...
