An old Sanaya Interview 😳
I went through a phase that has firmed my belief in God - Sanaya IraniThere are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.
Define God?
God is a belief. There are people who do not believe in God and vice versa. I strongly believe in God as I have felt His existence. I know that there is somebody up there who looks after all of us. Earlier, my belief in God was not really strong but I went through a phase when horrible things happened to my family and me and it was God who helped me over come it.
What is spirituality to you?
I am not a spiritual but a religious person.
What special bond/connection do you feel with God and your inner-self?
I feel that God has always been extremely kind to me. There was a time when I used to feel unlucky. But now I have realised how fortunate I am. Daily while going for work, I see down trodden and underprivileged children on the streets. That makes me feel so thankful to God for whatever he has given me. There are so many innocent children suffering from dreadful diseases like AIDS and cancer. Whenever I pray, I just keep thanking God.
How much do you believe in the magic and power of prayers?
I have a lot of belief in prayers. As I said earlier, I have gone through an experience that has made me realise that God is there for all of us. There is immense power in prayers. We have to pray to ward off evil. There is an evil energy that exists in this universe and to fight that evil energy, we should pray to God.
Who do you credit for your ability to overcome the hurdles, if any?
I firstly credit myself and then my parents for this as they have given me an upbringing that has made me the person that I am. Today, I am a person who holds an ability to overcome hurdles.
What kind of books do you read? Especially to get connected to God and your spiritual side?
I don't read any kind of books.
What do you do on a daily basis to remain connected to God and your inner-self?
I pray to God. Since I am a Zoroastrian, I visit the fire temple. I not only pray to my God but also to the Gods of all religions. My upbringing has helped me build a belief in all Gods.
In an industry that is so materialistic, how do you manage to retain your inner-self?
I am here to work and I just do my job. From my work, I go to people who are really close to me and who love me for what I am. I am blessed to have some wonderful people in my life. Besides, I don't think that every one in this industry is materialistic. I have been fortunate enough to have come across lovely people in this industry be it my director, co-actors or camera men.
Astrology, numerology and tarot reading?
I had consulted a tarot reader and the predictions turned out to be completely wrong. I think astrology is good. These sciences seem exciting and fun to me but I have never thought about them seriously.
Do you fast?
Not at all. I am an absolute foodie.
Following rituals?
I do not follow any rituals.
What is your comfort zone?
My home and my family. We actors stay outside the house for most of the time due to the nature of our work. Being at home with my loved ones gives me a great feeling.
What keeps you going?
The ups and downs of life keep me going.
Any wish/votive that you would want God to fulfill?
I wish that my parents live as long as I live or longer than me. And this has been my wish since childhood.

About Ganga discussions here,i think we can't say anything about it now ,how the story will be after the leap is matters.
there is lot of potential for Veera but they ruined everything after leap.
I think the subjects related to child marriage, child widow and child labour are regressive in nature.
yes,it is reality in some parts of india but also legally prohibited matter.
i don't understand why popular channels are hell bent on taking up such subjects.I have respect for SP that they never support such subjects.
People are more attracted to children and their innocence & pain so can be easily sold is the motive behind these channels.
Balika vadu again come up with child marriage and they are showing the child husband of that girl trying to misbehave with her and this is not the way to entertain people.
