Dum Laga Ke Haisha will domiante the box office this weeks as the new releases don't look too strong to take any initial. cancellation supposedly due to the film not being able to get enough shows but the scenario seems more or less the same this week.
The other releases will be Badmashiyan - Fun Never Ends and Dirtly Politics with the later having chances to put up some collections in single screens.
It will be left to Dum Laga Ke Haisha to dominate and the way it has held up it can probably match the first week business in week two especially as areas which sustain well into the latter weeks are very very strong. 😃

Dum Laga Ke Haisha grossed around 10.75 crore nett in week one and although this is a low figure it is good considering the opening it took, the figures are good and the film is set for a good run over the coming few weeks.
The weekdays hold was very good with no drop between Monday and Thursday as all day grossed over 1 crore nett and remained at a similar level which was also the level at which the film opened on Friday. The best day was Thursday as it got benefit in the evening of the holiday on the next day.
The film fared best in North with east Punjab grossing around 1.40 crore nett and Delhi/UP grossing around 2.60 crore nett meaning nearly 40% of its all India business was from North. Mumbai grossed around 3.40 crore nett which was a 33% contribution. The film has chances to repeat its first week business in week two looking at the trend of week one
Dum Laga Ke Haisha has turned out to be an amazing success story at the box office. If the momentum in collections was pretty much apparent in the opening weekend itself when the film went on to see huge jumps in occupancy, the weekdays were superb too. The film practically collected same as Friday on each of the weekdays, which was no mean feat since the footfalls were even greater (as ticket rates are higher during the weekend). The film held on well in a major way and the word of mouth has stayed on to be largely positive with nothing less than very good comments coming its way.
As a result, the film has now collected over 10 crores in its first week and is looking good to stay strong in the second week as well. With Holi adding up to a three day long weekend and family audience beginning to warm up to the film now, it is a given that second weekend would be better than first (6 crores). The actual fun would be to see if overall second week turns out to be better than first week, something which was witnessed last year with Queen. All of this means that while 20 crore is a given for the Ayushmann Khurranna-Bhumi Pednekar starrer, there may well be bonus awaiting this Sharat Kataria film.
A still from movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha' and Ab Tak Chhappan 2
There wasn't as much luck for Nana Patekar starrer Ab Tak Chappan 2 though which started losing steam during the weekdays. If the weekend was ordinary, there wasn't much to cheer about in rest of the week, which is disappointing since the film had good brand value attached to it. However, while poor promotion hit the weekend, ordinary content didn't help the cause during the week, as a result of which the total stands under 7 crore. Flop.
Meanwhile Badlapur continued to find audience in the second week as well and brought in 9.5 crore. It may have fetched at least 3-4 crore more, if not for competition from Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and in the process could have accumulated 50 crore by now. However, it would now have to wait for a week to get there as the current total stands at 46.50 crore. The film is now second highest grosser of the year so far after Baby. Hit.

#DumLagaKeHaisha [Week 2] Fri 1.95 cr. Grand total: 12.59 cr. India biz. Excellent growth. Unaffected by new films + Holi celebrations.
The new releases Badmashiyan, Dirty Politics and Hey Bro all opened very poorly with Dirty Politics being the best of the lot.
Ab Tak Chappan had a poor first week grossing around 6.50 crore nett. FLOP
Dum Laga Ke Aisha grossed a low 10.75 crore nett in week one but the film has sustained and will have good collections over the next few weeks.
Badlapur grossed 9.50 crore nett in week two taking its two week business to 45.25 crore nett. The film will finish close to the 50 crore nett mark. HIT
Roy crashed out in week three and is looking at a lifetime total of 36 crore nett.FLOP
Baby is around the 81.75 crore nett mark in six weeks. AVERAGE
