You know I guys I once looked into shaadi.com and some other desi marriage sites (not seriously, more out of curiosity when I saw tv ads a few years back) and it is actually a thing that someone's friend or relative will set up their profile rather than the person who will be getting married! At the time this surprised me...my frame of reference was too western :P
