1. Di, do you think the generation gap between parents and child nowadays is too wide and how can it be bridged?

I don't agree with that Minali. I think it's little less as I think parents do realize now that they can not control kids after some age completely. Gap is nothing other than understanding, so if after certain age we treat children as friend and talk just like that, so that they are not scared to discuss their thoughts & at the same time they listen to parents thought, then we can always have a solution & there will be no gap. But the thing is this rapport that child is not scared to talk to you does not happen in one day it needs to be worked from very beginning.

2. If a son or daughter calls a parent old-fashioned, and the parent has been raised with those values that the parent thinks is correct, is the son or daughter wrong in thinking otherwise? Do you feel both sides have some valid points?

Yes I think both may have valid points, as parents know things from experience & kids know thing from new environment perspective, as things have changed & that's the truth that some old rules does not apply anymore. So just discussion is always the only solution as above.

3. How important do you think it is for a family to sit down and have dinner together? I am asking this because these days everyone seems to have different schedule. Koi is going to gym when someone is coming home, or someone is still at work etc.

We should try for it if it's possible as in busy life we may get that time to spend together as a family but should not be hard & fast rule, if schedule does not permit. We all need to live the life according to our schedule/convenience. If we can't understand the problems of other people we can not live together so understanding is the first thing we need, if we have that then everything else becomes secondary & they automatically falls on their own place.
