But when they start judging and bashing the character of these stars because of the jokes being said then i don't think thats fair.

Because the jokes were not to be taken seriously at all, that was the whole point of the show, it was just two hours of insult comedy where people let go of thinking too much and just laughed at themslves.

I think because this is the first time people r seeing it they r taking it too much to heart. I have watched the Hollywood roasts before so i knew wat to expect.

Also this whole TOI thing was a issue that deepika wanted to take seriously because it was a pic of her cleavage, no one displaying zoomed in pics of her at the aib event.

I am not judging people who are supporting this..don't take it so personally.

There are comments on this thread which indirectly says that who are not supporting it don't have sense of humor, are uncool etc..my reply is for them. 😊

To be very honest, I don't really care if they insult themselves..do it as much as you want but when these same people stood up for Women Empowerment in the past and now when you do these things to show your bravery...it will raise fingers. That is my point. I would have posted the same, be it anyone.

Don't take these jokes seriously...you will tell this to how many people?
Laughing on each other and laughing on chut jokes are different things. I hope you know the difference.

So, this is the first time...people will get offended and you will see many views...so you have to deal with it. There is a vast difference between the west and India... can't really compare.

But Deepika's general message was that people in this country don't respect women, and she is doing the opposite in this video. 🥱

A roast is a roast is a roast! So I don't understand why people are saying it's OK in the USA but not in India..
A roast by nature is like this and will elicit different reactions and flak for the comedians when they go over board, just like that comedienne did for making that jibe towards Hulk Hogan and his daughter which she apologised for in the end.
But that shouldn't mean the roastees should receive the flak for the jokes made about other people like DP, Reema Lagoo, Farida.

Have only seen the 2 parts, did make me laugh at parts unwittingly, but the template ruined things- Black jokes for that dude, Christianity/virgin jokes for Abish Matthews, pervert tag/ gf jokes for Ranveer and so on..
Rajeev Masand seemed out of place here, kind of like Kung Fu Panda getting ripped apart, I so wish it had been Raja Sen instead.

And yeah don't think there will be any takers for another roast in the near future. 😆
