Ok. Let me ask you a question. Would you still expect Poorvi to be stuck on Arjun if he ends up sleeping with Tanu? Because I expect her to marry anyone (I don't care who) and move on if that happens.
And about Arjun's situation, he wrote his own fate and he also wrote Poorvi's fate which he had no right to do so. Love doesn't mean that you get the right to decide on your loved one's behalf what is good for them. Only they have the right to make decision of their own life.
Because if Arjun is right, then Bachha Singh is also right. He decided that Arjun (and his entire family) will be better off with Tanu and her money than Poorvi, so he created a situation where Arjun did what he predicted.
Similarly, Arjun decided Poorvi will better off without him (and his entire family). So he created a situation where Poorvi started hating him.
If Bachha Singh is wrong, then Arjun is also wrong. Granted at Arjun's house, they treat women like pets with no brain. But I thought Arjun will get the point with Poorvi that she needs a partner, not a protector.
When their life belonged to both of them, how can one person make such a huge decision alone. Arjun got upset when Poorvi just mentioned getting separate to save his life (she didn't force the decision on him, mind you), he never thought how she'd feel?
That would be the first point of anger once truth comes out.
But the way he is letting himself be blackmailed (like I said where would the baby come from 9 months from now and what happen to his darling dad then? How far is he willing to go to get his daddy happy?) and he is constantly falling down the vortex, I have no doubt where this gonna go.
If Poorvi had done it, how would that look like? Let's reverse the story.
Poorvi convinces Arjun about a marriage as phony as a golden deer, then sleeps with him. Within 48 hours she marries Viraj, legal this time (who is rich and better looking and with whom she was seen flirting earlier while she was with Arjun) all in the name of love and sacrifice where all the sacrifices were on Arjun's side.
He is constantly humiliated, his family is on the street thanks to Viraj.
Then Viraj announces in less than one month later, she is pregnant with his child and she meekly attends her baby shower party which is organized by Arjun because he has to earn living somehow.
In that party (which is her baby shower) she gladly accepts gifts and wishes from guests with her husband. But next moment she clings to Arjun saying, "Do you know how much I miss you (even though I was the one who made the decision to chuck you from my life)? I am more upset than you (even though my husband is in Armani and I am in designer saree and you had to give up all your potential and take cheap labour to put food on your table and roof over your family's head. Oh wait, that was also my charity. Never mind.) No one is even kissing my boo boo..."
How does this sound like? Would you find this scene acceptable? No. Because there are ugly names for women who wants to stay with their rich husband, but clings to other men the moment their husbands turn their back.
But we are conditioned to overlook that kind of behaviour on men's part.
If you find out that it was never Arjun and Poorvi's story. Arjun is just second lead. Then this behaviour won't be acceptable anymore.
Like I said, cvs can write what the hell they want. But that doesn't mean I am willing to accept him as a hero anymore. Even if he gets the girl by default, it won't be a happy ending for me.
