I think I understand why you felt it fast from Arnav end. In every story, he is shown as someone who doesnt know the meaning of love. But in this story I was determined to show him as the man who knows what exactly love is. Also I wanted to highlight love at first sight here, as I believe they do exist. 😃

Oh no that statement has no hidden meanings. We all know how kanjoos karan is when it comes to money and how he taunted her to be careful about spending. She wondered, if he taunted her all these years on hospital bills without actually paying a dime.

What does he mean by stain of broken marriage? so according to him, what happened to Khushi was ok and she should have adjusted and stayed with that jerk?

I would like to continue perceiving Shashi with tinted glasses on - until you prove him completely unworthy, at least. Brushing past his crude behavior, he was at least emotional and receptive to the situation...far better than the disturbing indifference Garima has shown so far. As I see it, he was just being the man of his family...slowly coming to terms with the predicament his youngest daughter's life is in...and trying to take right decisions on behalf of his family.

A. He has already considered her daughter's marriage broken and wants to take her back home although he might be wary about the consequences. Therefore, less likely to leave her stranded or pressure her to go back to her husband and in-laws.

B. He didn't sound quite like a dictating patriarch passing final verdict when he said you need to discuss and take opinions of your mother, father and sister. An equitable start, irrespective of the outcome.

C. The moistness in his eyes...is that guilt for throwing his (then) teenage daughter to the wolf and jackals?

Societal Pressure / Social Conditioning are a given considering their economic background and I will be surprised if they react otherwise. What I want to see is how they will rise beyond it - if they so choose to. Seems to be that behind every controlling man there could be an equally empty-headed woman who is just uninterested / ignorant / incapable of providing valuable and wise advise or making right decisions for their family / off-springs.

I fell head over heels for your Dr. R. He is so...transparent! It was endearing how he wished to envelop her in a cocoon and shield her from anything & everything.

What I meant in this line is, His heart is not broken but its in pain, unsure if she will return in his life or going away forever.
