Part 8:
Gust of wind of pain, overtook him, shook him like the bells of the temples. There was sound of the ringing bells and there was the sound of breaking heart singing a melancholy strain of love to its beloved. Arnav Singh Raizada, was frozen to the ground, and was today helpless.
Stillness surrounded them, the heart of a betrayed women, was bleeding with the color of the Sindoor in her maang. Her life felt as dark as the beads of MangalSutra. Undeniably, a bond which bonded the married couple here was not love, but a fatal one-sided love and heart-wrenching hate.
Arnav, felt many thoughts rushing through his mind but he knew, deep inside, Khushi was speaking the truth. When the hand was supposed to hold her, destiny made the same hand, wither the flower of Khushi's happiness. He knew, that he was not right when he left Khushi, but his parents forced him into this. Emotions were best of friends, and worst enemies, as it was the same emotions which bound Arnav to Khushi but they are the same emotions which forced him to break her.
Arnav knew it was time to take an action, to make his Khushi love him, to make her accept this marriage but the Khushi who was infront of him, who had arisen from the broken pieces of his old Khushi, was difficult to convince. But his faith in his love, can't be so weak, so weak that Khushi breaks bonds with him and it breaks.
Arnav held her warm wrist with his cold hand, which increased the pain of her heart.
He didn't answer her?Was this his intention?He was back for her body?
Questions came rushing to her mind, but her body turned lifeless with his touch. The breath of Arnav, felt disgusting for her, his touch felt bitter and his silence was more stabbing than his words. She painfully whispered,
" Will your family even allow me inside? Or there are some more insults ahead for me, which will break me, beyond any repair!"
This was it, Arnav couldn't bear it any longer. Her words were piercing his heart while the tears-filled eyes of her, were burning him with their glances.
" My family never rejected you, Khushi! Nor did I! You occupy a place in my heart and life, which no one else can take!! I agree, I left you when you needed me but I was bound to do that! How much influence will a 15yr-old have on the decisions taken in the family?" said Arnav while cupping her face, gently with his other palm.
" Oh Wow, Arnav! You should have told me this before!! So you are saying, I am thing, that you will accept or reject based on your family's decisions? Does the vows even matter to you?" said Khushi while distancing herself from him.
" You are taking it the wrong way, Khushi! Let me explain!" said Arnav while moving towards her.
" Nothing left to explain, Arnav! I don't want to make a scene here! So, you can go ahead with your 'work' at home, if I am allowed inside, or maybe we would go to a hotel, because you don't want your family to know about me!!"
" Just stop it, Khushi! You are coming to my house, and you have all the rights to enter my house! And rahi baat Hotel ki, I don't need to do that!If I ever want to do that, I have many other options too" he said while, holding her wrist and making her sit in the car.
The journey was silent in the dark roads as was the journey of Arnav and Khushi's relationship.
