A few of my frnz have watched it,but only in bits and pieces,so cant really consider their reviews.

But if they do air it,I think they'll make sure to cut scenes(if there are any) that might be tagged as offensive.

i hope they air dastaan bcoz it is a show why not show pakistani perspective i m an indian but i love to watch it

Well I want to see Dastan but don't know if it will air in India. I wish they air Akbari Asgari or Numm of Fawad.

Where patriotism comes in to it . We also have Pijar by Amrita and then Train to ...By Khushwant singh . We also have lots of books on Partition Where both sides have suffered same way . Bano is face less woman ,like her thousands went through that horrific phase . We can feel her pain as she presents the woman as whole with no cast , religion or boundaries . Yes Dataan can create controversy as its made from other side point of view . We have Haters both sides with mob mentality who just need something to create a havoc . Have seen Dastaan and while watching you have to be unbiased and just think Bano as a faceless woman who brings to light of many like her who went through hell . Haters do not have any religion . If bad people are out there then good people are there . Religion is personal faith and should be respected .
Dastaan should be avoided as it will just fueling the fire which already concerned people do not let it die . We can appreciate Pinjar and other movies . Tamas was also there. Garam Hawa with Balraj Sahni and the list goes on . Just sensitive and mature people can understand Bano and her plight but is it not irony for which mission she suffered , in the last she was disillusioned , betrayed by her own dream. Very poignant story which makes you think about the common people both sides .
I also think should not be shown in Zindgi channel .I have watched already and Sanam Bloach just has done fabulous job as Bano . FK can not be far behind where acting skills are concerned and then Mahreen as Rabia .

Watch Dastaan on Youtube . I also watched thee but with being unbiased ,just think of Bano as faceless woman . Like her thousands went through hell that time both sides . Woman as whole does not belong to any religion , cast or nationality , for ill mentality people she is just a flesh . I have seen others also .Loved Numm and Akbari Ashgri is fun and FK has again excelled himself coming out of his comfort zone completely .

yes Dastaan can create controversy and haters will just get the opportunity to fan the fire . Why to go that way ? i watched this show being unbiased and found Bano to be a faceless person , who identified with the people who went through hell . What she got in the end that was more tragic . How her dreams are shattered ? How she was disallusioned and came to reality with thud on the ground . When she questions herself that this is the country i have dreamed of ? Where she was going to be raped by her own country fellow ? Its beautiful story with brilliant actors . FK is only an actor who played the part Hasan . Art should be out of boundaries whether its music , artists or other form of art .

It has best tried to degrade the Hindus and the Sikhs and have presented them as the rapists of high order when we already know what is the actual truth. Well, I don't want to bring religion in between. And I feel that this show should never be onaired in India as it has not only tried to denigrate our religion but also our country INDIA about which we feel extremely proud of. If this show is ever aired here, then there should be protest from every person living in India

Because this show is not about anti hindus but it is about Anti India. I hope all the comments that I read here are actually commented by a Paki and not an Indian. If any Indian thinks that this kind of pathetic show should be aired here, then shame on him/her who calls himself/herself an Indian. Sorry you aren't an Indian then and you don't love your country.

P.S - if you love Fawad Khan, then it's completely your choice. I don't have any objections as I too love the actor alot but loving him doesn't mean that we'll support a show which promotes hatred for India. Our country comes first and then some Fawad Khan. If you want to watch the romance between Hassan-Baano, then YT is available and all videos are uploaded there. You can happily watch it. If someday Fawad does bombing in India, then does it mean that you're going to justify his acts being an Indian? You're an Indian first.

I think you came very late on this forum . Dastaan already has been discussed quite elaborately .
Already thee is so much hatred in the world ,its we common people who can bring love , peace , friendship as both sides have same problems , same cultures, traditions and rituals . Its the story as a whole which made this show so famous . And i do not think anyone has the right to tell if we are indian or pointing fingers at our patriotism , if we watch Pak dramas which are no trash and are more real to real world . What to say about the people when Dilip Kumar was honored by Pakistan , he was called traitor , one ever thought that he is legend and the questioning his identity is great shame as an Indian . Art is beyond any boundaries and let it keep this way only /
We have many old movies about this subject some by BR Chopra where very sensitively has handled this issue . Should first be a good human being , we have so many issues in our country which needs our attention not this drama .

I feel it will never be aired in India, People can demand to ban/boycott the channel and its obvious too ! Loved the show for its actors, theme and story-line because I'm neutral but I'm 100% sure the show will not be accepted and appreciated by public. Deleting/cutting the controversial scenes/dialogues would be unfair to the show as a whole so its better not to show it here, those who love Sanam-Fawad can always watch it online.
