I know you guys are really angry with me. I have taken a lot of time but trust me guys the delay was inevitable. As said before my work timings have increased and when I come back home I am left with lil time to give full update.
As soon as my work timings will become regular again I'll try to update regularly. Till then please co-operate 😊
PART-28
Being satisfied on seeing his friend in safe hands Dhaval went with the trio. He knew no one apart from Raghav can take care of Kalpi so well. He is allowing her to change his life and the best part is he is not forcing her to change herself according to his lifestyle.
Raghav and Kalpi headed for the beach. He was driving as slowly as he can. Both of them were remembering the the dance they had. For the first time thay were so close and it produced a strange sensation in their body. Something which they have never experienced before.Raghav was just looking at road while driving. Though drowned in thoughts he was having full control on car. Kalpi on the other hand was looking outside the car via mirror. The silence in atmosphere was helping her more to ponder on the feeling. Both lost in their respective thoughts about each other reached the junction. On sudden halt Kalpi came out of her thought line. "We have reached." Kalpi looked at him. He pointed at the beach which was empty of crowd.
Kalpi came out of car and looked at the beach. The place that stays crowded all day looks so peaceful in night. He too looked at beach. Though he stayed in Mumbai yet in all these years he never came here. It isn't that he didn't get time but for him life was business. Instead of living he was chasing life all these years. But here he was standing on this land with someone who just wished to see the beach in midnight and without giving second thought he agreed. He enjoyed her company and knew its only her who can teach him how to live life. After all these years he now actually wanted to live life or may be after so many years he got to see different face of life and he admired it.
Kalpi came back towards the car and took out her heels. The cold sand was working as magic. She felt light. She looked at Raghav who was looking at her amusingly. "Raghav try it out. It really feels light." Going by what she said he took out his shoes and socks and stood bare foot on sand. It did work. His nerves were calming down. She was right. "Thanks.I am actually feeling light." "See I told you. Now help me I want to sit on bonnet." "Sit by yourself. It isn't unreachable for you okay." "Raa...ghav I am wearing gown na help me na don't be mean." "Uff!!! you know Kalpi sometimes I really find you kiddish.Chalo I'll help you." He helped her sit on the bonnet and then took the place beside her. He laid down and rested his head on one of his hand while the other one was on his waist. Kalpi was still sitting.
Both of them looked at the serene view before them. Nature has everything to provide its for we humans to understand. The sounds of waves coupled up with cool zephyr was pleasing them. Kalpi's hair were dancing according to the tune of air while Raghav just looked at her. She was finding it hard to manage her hair and he laughed looking at her messy state. Few hours before she was looking drop dead gorgeous and now she was looking cute. "Stop laughing" "Why?" Kalpi fumed in anger while he was laughing at her. The situation has changed. Earlier he was angry and she was laughing but now its other way round."Don't look at me like this. Don't worry I won't tell about your messy look to Sammy, Pooja or Priya." Kalpi made faces on seeing him laughing at her and he laughed evven more. "Don't taunt me okay." Raghav nodded. She tied her hair in bun and looked at the view again.
It was silence again. Her thoughts again wandered to the same question. Who she was? What was her life? How her friendship started with Raghav? Where did she met him first? "Raa...ghav" "Ask me anything except your past?" She pouted and looked at him who was gazing at star filled sky. She too lied down and looked at sky. "Okie I won't ask about my past. I know I may not be medically fit to know it. But what about you?" "Stunned by her statement he looked at her. "How come you know Doc has not allowed yet." "Coz I know you. I am sure if he would have you wouldn't deny answering my question." He smiled and said "Hmmm" "Kya hmmm tell me about you." "You know me Kalpi what else do you wanna know."
"Raghav when I stayed at home for recovery I read few magazines apart from those automobiles one. I read few articles about you. Surprisingly all the articles had one common line." "And whats that?" "That Raghav Singhania is rude and arrogant. I mean thats so unbelievable. You are lil rude and arrogant but then everyone is. No body is a saint here. I guess they don't know you personally." "You said it Kalpi. Nobody apart from few knows me personally. On professional front yes I am rude and arrogant.And as a matter of fact I don't consider it bad." Kalpi looked at him. There was a sternness in his voice. "Raghav I know a lil about your professional life and I am not interested in knowing about it. But I wanna know you personally. Look I may sound strange that I have been staying with you for around a month and still I am asking this question but you know I always wanted to know about you but never had the courage. Now that our bond has grown stronger I thought its the right time."
Raghav was dumbfounded. She wanted to know about me. He smiled inwardly. Kalpi snapped and he came out his reverie. "Raghav please tell me about yourself na. You only said when I met you first time that we are best friends, buddies then tell me atleast about yourself." "What you want to know? Ask me coz I don't know how to and from where should I start?" " Just tell me about yourself. Whatever comes in your heart and you feel like sharing it with me. Just start and go with the flow and then you don't have to think about from where or how to start. And in between if I feel like asking you something I will but right now just say whatever you have in your heart." Raghav looked at her. There was a certain genuineness and seriousness in her voice and her face carried the innocence. He nodded and thought what to say first. After a while
"Kalpi you know unlike most of the men who are crazy about cricket I am a football lover. I just love the game. Its so rigrous and energetic. You know my favourite player currently is Messi. He is class player. I was not an par excellent student nor was I average. I was and I am a sharp mind person. I always believed in multi tasking. In school I used to engage myself in almost all extra curricular activities. Drama, dance, debate and sports. I just divided my time equally amongst studies and other activities. I wasn't a nerd but rather a cool dude." He laughed for after a long time he was remembering the Raghav he was. The lively cool natured Raghav. Kalpi looked at him intently. She somewhere realised the Raghav he is talking about is someone she has never met till now. She didn't know the reason but knew something led him to change himself. At this point she wanted to him to speak until he fell short of words. Only after he is done she will ask him or may he may speak about the reason on his own.
"You know I was 2 when I met Samar Raizada urf Sammy urf my everything" He chuckled while she smiled. "We became friends instantly as if there was some Karmic connection between us. We fought but never took it to a level where we think of breaking our friendship. He is someone I look upto when I am disturbed. He is someone who has right to shout at me, scold me and I am sure there will be a strong and valid reason behind it. Priya came in our life after 3 years of our friendship. You know I tslked with girls but then I don't know I and Priya never became best of friends like like we both. But ya we are friends. She understands my relation with Sammy for which I will always be thankful to her. There were times when it was an initial stage of their relationship that Dammy used to be with me when he was supposed to be with her but she never complained. She may not be my best friend but surely she is a true friend. Amongst those few who understands me very well."
Kalpi was now sure that something has gone wrong in his life. No girl would like her boyfriend spending much of the time especially when its just the start of their relation to spend most of the time with his best friend. She didn't know why but she was feeling a pain in his voice. He continued.
"You know Kalpi I was 15 when I liked a girl. Her name was...was...haaan Naina. She was the most popular girl of our class and I wanted her to be my girlfriend since I was the most popular guy. I guess she liked me too. I thought of many ways to impress her. But the popularity she had I wanted to impress in an unique way you know not that ghisa pita regular style."
For strange reason Kalpi felt a pang of jealousy in her heart. She got alert when Raghav mentioned that he was interested in a girl. She didn't know why but she was angry with Raghav. She wanted to ask him about her but before she could speak he continued and she stopped herself from asking.
"You know Kalpi I never had to struggle during my initial years of life. Everything was perfect just perfect. Whatever I demanded it was fulfilled. I was kinda prince. Full of pampering and attitude of a teen. There was nothing for me to worry about. Life was like a smooth road with no bumps. I was a happy go lucky guy completely unaware of world and its ways to treat people. Time...Time I believe its the master of all games. We all are slaved in the hands of Time. It never remains same. It changes. I didn't know the power of it but now I worship it. Time it gives you it takes away from you. In a moment it makes you king and in the very next moment it makes you pauper. Time changed me and made me what ever is written about me in those articles. It made me learn the biggest lesson of my life. It made me wise, it made me pragmatical, it created an emotional void in me. It made me The Mighty, Rude, Arrogant, Shrewd, Cunning, Egoistic and Succesful Raghav Singhania.
Kalpi was looking at him or rather she was trying to read him. The pain was visible. His voice was firm but his face was vulnerable. She kept staring him. When he didn't say a word for a long time she asked the question that she wanted to ask him since the day she came in his home. Gathering courage for she had no idea how will he react on question she asked "Raghav...can I ask you something?" "You don't need to seek my permission for that." She smiled and continued
"Raghav I have been living with you for over a month but I have never seen you parents. Don't they visit you? Infact I have just seen one photo of them and that too in your room. I have seen your entire house but all have never seen your parents room. I believe my room is not the one where your parents stay!" Raghav lowered his eyes and said in a very low tone "They are no more Kalpi and its the biggest loss if my life. I didn't just loose my parents I lost my life." Tears started flowing and he didn't bother to wipe it. He was feeling light. Kalpi saw that Raghav who does not exist for the world. His vulnerable side. His pain. She too had tears. She never knew she will get this answer to her question. "You know Kalpi I have heard when your loved one leave you they become star. I never believed in it but from the time I have come over here and had seen this star filled sky I was trying to find those two stars and you know what I got it. See" He pointed towards two stars which were in the mid of sky and were shining the most. Kalpi followed his gaze and looked at those two stars who were indeed shining brightly. He was smiling and that was the most innocent smile she had ever seen.
"Do I have parents? If yes then why didn't they come to take me or ask about my health. They didn't even call me. Am I alone just like him???" She questionned herself. "I know whatever the truth is he will tell me when I am ready to take it. Till then I should wait. But right now its important to cheer him up. Because of my questions he went through pain. I have to do something." She thought.
"Raa...ghav" her voice broke his thought process and he looked at her. She got up from bonnet and asked him to get up. " Come" "Where" "Chalo bhi come" "Kalpi I hope you are not going to ask me do some stupid silly thing." "C'mon Raghav trust me lets go" Dragging him along with herself she reached near the water. She looked at him with a glint and said "Lets go in water." "What??? Are you mad. The water must be cold. Its 3:30 of night. Kalpi you will fall sick. Noways I am going with you ot even I am not going to allow you and you dare defy me." Raghav's tone reflecting his anger as well as concern.
"Okay! But atleast just dip our legs in it. The cool water will ease your pain. You know water has quality it takes many things away and it gives back equal things to the shore. Water will take your pain and will give you peace. Come" He didn't want to believe in this theory of hers which was not making anysense to him but his heart screamed on doing whatever she says for now it wants peace that it has been longing since years. He dipped his legs in water and Kalpi joined him. The lil waves were touching his feet. He looked at her. She was standing there with her eyes closed. He too copied her. Slowly he felt relaxed. The pain was reducing. He felt his parents are watching him and are happy that he has taken a step towards his life. The heaviness that he felt in his heart all these years was gradually decreasing. He stood there allowing the nature to heal him.
He opened his eyes after a while and looked towards his left to watch what Kalpi is doing. He was shocked on not seeing her at her place. A sudden splash of water on his face irritated him. He turned only to find Kalpi. Before he could say or understand something she again splashed water on him. "Kalpi stop! What are you doing!" "C'min Raghav lets become child again. We can afford to take sick leave but lets just enjoy this moment. See your parents are watching. Let them see you having fun." "What are you Kalpi. Though being unaware of your own past you are trying to heal my past. You are amazing!!"His thoughts got wet with yet another splash which now he was determined to answer. Seeing the naughtiness in his eyes she understood the fun has begun.
He splashed water on her and she reciprocated. Both started playing with each other. Completely drowned in their friendship. The silent beach was now filled with lil noise of their fun.
Friends are those who understand what you say but true friends are those who understand your unsaid words. Pain is the key that connected them and now friendship is the adhesive that keeps them together. When you are in pain and you let it out thers no sequential way of doing it. You just say what comes in your heart at that point of time. Nobody tried to know who real Raghv is. But Kalpi...she tried. The pain that he has kept in his heart for years found a medium. He spoke all the things that he had in his heart. But didn't speak much about his parents death and struggle thereafter. He knew Kalpi is already going through a low phase and to tell her about his past at this point may harm her health since now she truly considers him as her buddy. He knew he will share his pain with her but only when she is ready to hear it. Kalpi on the other hand though unaware of her ownself yet wanted Raghav to become the one he was in his past though for few moments but she wanted and made him relive his carefree past. Friendship has its own beautiful language.
