To say that the BO figures are disappointing would be an understatement. The movie is not so bad to deserve being a flop also. I think what's working against the movie is that the last 15-20 mins are so botched up that people are walking out dissatisfied & consequently, the WOM is not so emphatic. It's like "If you have time, then only watch it" types. Don't think this will affect Ranveer much because he's getting unanimous praise & applause from both critics & audience. Pari would be the one in dire straits. Very unfortunate because the film had so much potential to be a great & genuine comic caper filled with drama. I lay all the blame at Shaad's & YRF's feet :(

i think 6 cr first day for a film with Ranveer & Parineeti is a good number. Ranveer is a star but he is no Ranbir Kapoor yet. There is also no Deepika in this film & Pari is no DP yet. If the film is not good, it's the director's fault! I wish ppl would stop overhyping everyone!

The issue is not promotions. They only really ignored Bewakoofiyan this year. KD was promoted pretty well. So was Gunday and even DEI eventually had the Food yatra which got some people interested...though their treatment made it obvious they didn't think it was going to work.

Problem is their promos + lackluster music. Gunday did well initially b/c of music + promos were very good ... The others didn't have good (memorable) music or promos. Plus this one always looked like a deja vu of Gunday meets Tashan meets JBJ.

YRF should look at the scripts/ music they're approving.
