My take on all this:
-Puneet was deliberately taken to the secret room.While Minisha was evicted and consequently went to Salman,Puneet was briefed about all this.They simply asked him to go physical with someone other then Gautam.He picked Arya and went up against him.
-Arya wasn't told of all this.He was seriously taken aback by all this.When he went to confession room,someone from the writers came up to him and told him about all this.
Why I have come to this conclusion?
Here you go:
At first Arya was adamant that he wanted Puneet out but then he changed after meeting Bb.He went into his 1970s ka actor self.
Puneet wasn't really effected by all this and kept on doing the task.
So to me it was scripted.BB has very sneakily took all the footage off Pritam and Gautam !
