Part 20
Bani snapped her fingers, to get Jai out of his dream land. Though, she wished she could stare at him forever… Jai came out of his shock and smiled broadly at Bani…
J: You look beautiful…
B: just beautiful?
J: I have no other words to describe you… all words are just too short to describe…
Bani was blushing. Turning all sorts of red, she tried to walk away from him, when he grabbed her wrist and stopped her from leaving…
B: what are you doing? let me go na…
J: why? don't want to stay with me?
B: ummm… I have to go…
J: for what?
B: The chopra's will be coming any second… I have to check if everything…
J, cutting Bani: everything is fine… I personally checked everything…
B: look… massi is calling me…
J: massi is busy with the guests…
B: I have to check on Anu…
J: Anu is perfectly well and ready…
B: Rano…
J: Rano is with anu, making sure everything is alright…
Bani had no more excuses… Jai had an answer for everything. Apparently he knew everything. What was happening, who, what, when, where, why… basically EVERYTHING!! Bani was a bit surprised to see his instant replies… but afterall, he had this weird habit… not personally, but he pretty much knows everything… yes, he doesn't interact, with anyone or do things personally… but, yet, some how he finds out.
Bani tired once or twice, telling him about the day's major events, but he ends up knowing already. This obviously surprised her, but by now she should have understood this fact… But knowing, what was happening here, right NOW in the wedding, was kind of a shock, seeing that he wasn't helping her ONE bit, arranging it…
J: I should say, the wedding was arranged pretty well…
B, smiling at the compliment: if you want to compliment, do it openly…
J: I am not complimenting anyone… I am just saying, the flourists and everyone else did a good job
B, firing up at once: and WHO told the flourists and others to do them in the first place?
J: Ummm… I don't know… lets see Massi?
Bani was now pissed. SHE deserved the credit for all this and the person who she wanted the MOST to hear it from, was not even acknowledging her hard work and stressful days. Jai, on the other hand was enjoying pulling Bani's leg. She looks cute when she is angry, he thought. But after a few seconds, realized what he was thinking and just composed himself again. This was not his natural self… He was very reserved and quiet. and not to mention his hard face, which only smiled at times on need…
B: now, will you leave my hand? Massi is really calling.
And sure enough, Massi was waving to Bani, indicating her to come. Bani left Jai, who kept his eyes on her. Gosh, why does he do that, she thought…Whats wrong with me?… I have to stop acting like that and that too in front of him… I am Bani Dixit, of the Dixit group of industries… Have to stop acting like a shy, new bride… blushing like hell… must have looked like a tomato. Promising to herself, that she will ALWAYS remain composed infront of Jai, she made her way to Massi…
The Chopra's arrived in a short while… Anu, was still upstairs, with Rano, fixing herself. Rano assured Bani, that everything else was fine. Bani noticed Roshini, wearing a lime green sari. Bani felt sorry for the sari… it looked so ugly on her, she thought. The sari was really pretty, but the person, who was wearing it just ruined it. Bani really loathed Roshini. She couldn't think of anyone, who she hated more than that cobra… maybe Pia.
Both, Bani and Roshini, weren't on speaking terms. They ignored each other and didn't even greet each other. And Bani hated it when, Jai went to receive Roshini. She saw her give a triumph smile as she dragged Jai into a conversation. Bani, thinking that she couldn't keep quiet, proceeded to join them. However, many guests seemed to find just this time to talk to Bani. After politely excusing herself, she made her way to Jai and Roshini. At the precise moment, the panditji said that the wedding ceremony should start.
So being distracted totally from what she was going to do, Bani hurried upstairs to make sure Anu was ready, as she has to be brought down in a few minutes. And sure enough, after a few minutes, Anu was called down. Both Bani and Rano, brought Anu down, along with her friends, who were giggling, looking at Rohit staring at his soon to be wife.
Bani smiled, all heads turned towards the bride and were gasping at the beauty she held. Afterall, a bride was a bride.
Bani caught Jai, staring at her, as usual. She blushed but then regained her calm as she remembered the promise she made to herself, not too long ago. She watched Jai at the corner of her eyes, even though she pretended not to see him. She saw that his expressions changed and Bani instantly knew that, he too was reminded of their marriage.
The most absured situation Bani ever had to face in her life was her marriage, which happened in the most unexpected circumstances. She was not even looking like a bride. She wore some red lengha choli, with some left over jewellery, which obviously Pia thought, were not worth enough to be taken along with her. But nevertheless, she took along with her, the most expensive and exquitive jewellery, which she either got as a gift from friends or the walia family themselves. Kiran too bought jewellery, for her darling daughter and it was really a shock, when she opened the cupboard, to find, practically, ALL the jewellery missing.
But, what else could you except from a girl like Pia. She never valued anything in life, whether it was her family or friends. She never even thought of her own mother, who went against everything to give her happiness. So forget about her fianc, who was 'fida' over her and her step-sister, who inspite of everything, still loved her from deep inside.
However, that was the past and things changed since then. Bani, who never really wished bad for Pia, even though she was the reason to all her problems, has changed. She may not express it, but a deep loathing and hatred had formed inside Bani. It was always her, who took what Pia had already used, whether it was the clothes or the people. And finally, she ended up having her sister's fianc as her husband. This was partly the reason, why she didn't want to accept the fact that she still loved Jai. She didn't want to accept him like something her sister left behind…
Bani still remembered her wedding as though it was yesterday. It was not the best moment in her life, but it was something. Like they say, you live once, die once, marry once… and love once… (sry… SRK dialogues in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. anywy, back to Bani's memories on her own wedding). She was being led down the stairs and all heads turned towards her. Some were in shock and some didn't notice the different bride. Bani then sat in the mandap as the rituals began. She didn't dare to look at Jai… who she didn't know, was angry or shocked.
Whatever the reason may be, he agreeded for this to happen. Its was if god was speeding up the time. She felt numb. The moment on, which she had so many dreams, was right now in front of her and she didn't know if she should be happy or not. Like a statue she sat there. She felt Jai's arms go around her neck as he put on the scacred chain on and then the sindoor. She then stood numbly for the pheres. Next thing was going to the walia mansion and was being welcomed by Massi. after a few chit chatting she was led away to his bedroom and the rest was history… Bani came out of her memories as she recognized that the marriage rituals of Anu and Rohit already started.
Jai on the other hand, went to his own set of memories of his and Bani's marriage. The most ironic thing that happened in his life. He was probably the most happiest man on earth, when he had a bachelor's party, the night before with his friends. he ACTUALLY had fun. Not, like one of those business parties, which he HATES. And then the day arrived and Jai was soo happy, he couldn't imagine. He was about to sit in the mandap, when Jigyasa pulled him aside and led to one of the rooms in the Dixit residence, where Kiran, Aditya, Massi and Ranveer were assembled.
Jai then remembered how Massi came forward and tried to explain calmly to him about what Pia did. And Jai forgetting everything, fired up at once saying there was some mistake and that couldn't be possible. His anger shot up really soon and Aditiya and Ranveer, who had a good experience of facing Jai's wrath, instantly took action. They told him to relax and coaxed him to keep it quiet. It was then that Kiran, who was quiet through the whole time, suggested in a quiet voice, about Bani.
Obviously Jai, got under the impression that Bani and Pia were together. And then, when JW could love, he could also hate. So making up his mind, to destroy the Dixits and the first step was by marrying the older daughter Bani Dixit. Adi, who knew what Jai's mind was thinking disagreeded, before all the words were out of Kiran's mouth. But Jai was adamant and NO ONE could change his decision. And so he walked out and sat in the mandap, with his eyes cold and hard. No one till now dared to mess with Jai Walia because they very well know, what dire consequences they would have to face. And then whatever happened, was history…
Jai and Bani, quiet going back into their memories. Both of them may not accept it, ut both of them were sort of happy about the fact that the marriage took place. Yes, they weren't married in all ways, but knowing that there is some one, who cares for you and will never leave you for anything, is a very good feeling. And both of them like that feeling and want to hold on to in forever… its like, they finally found what they were looking for… some people work for money, some work for themselves, while others work for their family… but, both of their search for something in life has come to a stop…

Okay, there is no point to this update, but i kind of rushed through JB's wedding... so thought why not mention it again... and you can see both of them are comparing now to their marriage, which is a VERY good sign...lolz... now for your comments... plzz ignore mistakes, didn't have time to edit...
