Ek saas , ek bahu aur do gadhe. This is the show all about.

First thing first. That song and the whole creepy scene was JUST NOT REQUIRED. It could have been done without those scenes.

Sakshi and Durga, these two women are two over- confident idiots. Each plans to destroy other but doesn't calculate the reactions thereafter.

Sakshi is so cruel that she can use her own son to get what she thinks is right. She is slowly breaking Shaurya's morals so that the marriage gets cancelled. How much low can a woman get ?

Dev is as usual ready with his clueless expressions.

Let Durga, Shaurya , Sakshi and even Dev forget everything about revenge and join the planning commision. The country needs these awesome foursome.😆

Sakshi is deliberating over Durga and her actions. She is strangely still unable to point out why she is after Shaurya.
Karan is paying for his acts.

He started these bets and bedding games in first place. 😡

Suchitra obviously barked over bride to be not entering before marriage.

The way Durga keeps moving around Goenkas, when was wedding needed?😆

Sakshi is self assured and actually knows what she is doing.

Durga enters battlefield but does preparations right in middle of war zone. Mostly defensive.

^^ In a show that was based on a strong determined woman like Durga, I am wondering WHY the CV's show her this unorganized and shaky in her resolve to get her justice.

In all the promos of this show they lured us the audience with a clear idea that Durga knows what she was doing.

Then WHAT changed their minds to now side track and give us this weak Durga.

People in India rarely like strong women. They see confidence as something that is un-feminine. Weakness and vulnerability are seen as innocence, purity and feminity. Suffering was ideal of Indian womanhood.
Hence CVs mauled Durga.

Don't you remember "Durga is proud" kind of posts in this forum earlier? Or the urge to pair her with a man, forget revenge and settle in domesticity? Many have made comeback to this forum since rumour of marriage with Dev came up.

Backward mindset of public leads to writers making weak female characters.

^^ Then I guess we will have to wait another 100 years before this mindset is going to change in India.

Or there should be more strong and self confident women enter this industry and write and produce shows that shows women are capable of strong and confident attitude.

There is nothing un-feminine about a strong woman. That is just my opinion.

Maybe I have stayed too long away from India and my thinking is not the same.

Dolly, you will not believe but once on another forum a male user told me I should be softer in my approach. I wonder how he got personal in a debate! He said if I was "like that" in real life then nobody would get along with me!
Started same rant of "you are a girl".

I had not used any abusive language. But I do put my points strongly. He was bashing me for it!

I see people using Jhansi ki rani as a taunt than a compliment.

They picture women as suffering Mother India types. Duniya mein hum aaye hain toh jeena hi padega, jeevan hai zeher toh peena hi padega.🤢

In real life I have often seen people comment on women who drive alone, or laugh too much, talk "a lot" etc.

Excessive gender stereotyping out there.

^^ Anu it truly sad that men like that exist.

In my opinion you are 100% right in your belief that having strong gender equality opinions is just as much your right as Dumb men have, that are pompous and have to be "Macho" to prove that by putting women down so they can feel superior .

Men have always found words and actions to make sure that they come out looking
stronger and superior by putting women that threaten them in any way.

Even in my in laws family they objected to bringing up my daughters with the idea that they are just if not better than any man out there.

But I did not back down and eventually I made them realize that their old way of thinking is NOT my cup of tea.

Durga seems to have decided marriage will happen with Shaurya no matter what. She has become complacent on this.
She is not seeing how rattled Shaurya is and what would have rattled him too much. She doesn't heed to Dr Dayal's valid concerns and lost in her own world of plans post marriage.
Her eyes search for Dev when his name is mentioned. Now Sakshi has not noticed it. But if she continues not only Sakshi everyone will notice where her true loyalty lies😆😆😆😆.
Sakshi looks at Dev and thinks what work he is upto. But she feels no threat as anyways he is after Payal case only. She feels he will run around and will not get anything as everything is buried deep.
The way Sakshi looked at Dev when he came was more like " wait I have something up for you. take it and leave to US "

the start of the epi was downright pathetic and crap.hated it to the core.🤢
only thing i liked was sakshi and karan scene. simone singh is just awsum. 👏

the moment when karan tells sakshi he isn't understanding anything the stare she gives him...he understands everything in just one second.😆

lastly when karan brings his hand forward for the handshake and sakshi looks at him as if he is some dirtbag , untouchable kind of thing..her expressions were bang on.

poor epi. if i really have to give marks to it it would be 3/10.

The Indian shows have this mentality. We have Cvs who are women. We have production houses run by women. We have directors, we have producers and we also have award winning actress but when all them are put together to make a story, they end up making a saas- bahu story where the prime duty of every woman is to serve her in- laws.

Ever seen any show where the female lead has a job or identity of her own ?

I remember a show where the little girl wanted to do something big in her life but later all big she could do was marrying a " THAKUR" scion. WOW! what a achievement she made. Naukrani bani maharani

Marrying a collector is also an achievement. WHo wants to become a Sarpanch or a teacher when serving teas is the world's best job?

In another show, the female lead had to quit her job as a teacher because being housewife is the in- thing.

Even if they are shown as working woman their job profiles are treated secondary. In case of emergency, she will have to quit her job to satisfy her marital needs.

The only show that dealt with woman empowerment in real sense was Mrs. Tendulkar. Although a comic series it attempted to show how much sacrifice a woman has to do to keep her family happy and obviously it had to go off air. Who wants to see a woman as the bank manager?
