PART 30: The Evil Returns😈

Arnav drove them through the Arch and soon they reached a mansion with big gate. Much to Khushi's amusement, the gate opened on its own and soon he drove her around the front lawn with helipad and halted the car at the front portico of the mansion.

Khushi: Arnav! Our home is so beautiful!

Arnav's happiness built exponentially at her mention of OUR HOUSE.

Arnav: After all it was Papa and Appa's idea. It had to be beautiful.

Khushi: Appa?

Arnav bit his tongue at his blunder.

Arnav: nothing. You know, it was typical country side mansion before. But I renovated this recently. You will love it. Mainly our bedroom you know!

Saying he winked making Khushi blush to the root of her hairs. She hit him playfully.

Khushi: Why is there no security at the gate?

Arnav: This mansion is at a very secluded part of the city Khushi where at night time no one will be there at the road. Actually its very rare to see people at this turn of road. Only the estate workers come here that too from the nearby village and our home workers are though from nearby village, they stay at the quarters behind our mansion. So we have changed the security plan. instead of making a man stand there and let him sleep or scare him for any animal that may cross the area though not dangerous, we set up CCTV and implanted Remote sensor system. The security gaurds are in the CCTV monitor room where they can see us and they open the gate with their remote.

Khushi: Brilliant!

Arnav: ASR after all.

Saying he shrugged.

Khushi: yeah yeah! Laad governor!

Khushi rolled her eyes and Arnav laughed. They eyed each other as they got down from the car and a man in his late thirties reached them as soon as they got out. Arnav saw him.

Arnav: Hey Madhan! Here park the car and ask someone to arrange our luggage in our room. If needed take the car for fill up.

Madhan: Yes boss! And Welcome home ma'am.

He smiled at Khushi who smiled back at him.

Arnav: Khushi, this is Madhan. Our driver and home treasurer. Dadi's ladla! He is very intelligent you know?

Khushi: Really?

Arnav: Yeah! Put the foot on accelerator for break and puts gear with hand break!

Khushi: WHAT THE!!

Madhan: NO! Ma'am. Boss is just pulling my legs. I did all those when I was learning to drive. I do know driving better now and actually safe too!

Khushi: Arnav? Why are you troubling him? And Madhanji! Call me Khushi.

Arnav: Just like that Khushi. And Madhan! Don't flaunt my SUV in front of your girlfriend!

Madhan: Boss?

Khushi: Shut up Arnav. Madhan ji. You go.

Madhan: Call me Madhan Khushi.

Khushi: NO! Let me call you Madhan Anna?

A beautiful smile bloomed on madhan's face and looked at Arnav who had a knowing smile. This how in childhood Khushi used to call the then kid Madhan too! He was the son of Ram the house servant then.

Madhan nodded his head and went near Arnav to whisper something in his ears.

Madhan: She hasn't changed much! She still bosses you.

Arnav(smiling): PO! GO now!

Saying he pushed Madhan and stepped up to the front door and had a naughty smirk which dint go unnoticed by Khushi. As soon Madhan moved away with the car, Khushi pinched his arms.

Arnav: Ouch Khush?

Khushi: What did he say that you are grinning like idiot?

Arnav: you don't want to know!

Khushi: TELL! NOW!

Arnav: Ok listen! He said that I am lucky to have such a hot wife!

Khushi: Roadside Romeo.

Saying she hit him again and before they could bicker more, Pratap and Devyani came there with Aarthy plate.

Devyani: Stop cribbing you both. Come here and stand at the threshold.

Like obedient children they did as said. Devyani did aarthy for them and kept the Kalash at the threshold.

Devyani: Khushi tilt it and enter your home!

Arnav: should I not carry her?

Khushi and Devyani glared at him and Pratap chuckled.

Pratap: control your desperateness Chote. Let her first enter. Then you can..

Devyani: Chup rahiye aap. Khushi tilt the kalash!

You keep quiet!

Khushi stood there on confusion to use which foot making others chuckle at her child like antics.

Devyani: Right foot Pari!

Khushi smiled and did as said. She kept her right foot in and as soon she did that, she was hoisted in air by Arnav.

Khushi: What the? Put me down Annu!

Arnav: Never! This is tradition you know Kuku!

Khushi: Laad governor

Khushi shook her head and with a shy smile she held his collar with one hand while her other hand went around his neck making him give his sexy smirk. Khushi let her eyes wander through the classy finish of the mansion's living room in red white and off course Black.

Devyani: Chote? Where do you think you are going? Bring her to the mandir. You both should remove your raksha daaga!

Arnav: Dadi? NOW? Like really NOW?

Pratap: Do as said Chote. These are some rituals which cannot be ignored.

Arnav(in low voice): Yes Dadaji.

Saying Arnav moved to Mandir while Khushi giggled and Arnav glared at her.

Khushi: Wah Daddu! Your one word and this Angry Young man Laad governor is all quiet?

Pratap: Angry old man is much a threat to the Angry young man

Aman: Absolutely.

Arnav: Very funny? And what are you doing here?

Aman: Huh! I thought you will be happy to see me and will smile all happy hugging me!

Arnav: SHUT UP

Lavanya: Uff. Chill bhai. How can we miss welcoming this one in milinium jodi? So we were shooting all the happenings. But you were busy ogling at your bride that you dint see beyond.

Arnav: As if you were seeing anything beyond that funny face of your husband on your grah pravesh?

Lavanya: Oh so you did notice such things too? I thought you were busy hugging your laptop and kissing your mobile.

At this Khushi laughed her head off holding her stomach as now Arnav settled her on her feet near the Mandir. He was mesmerized by her tingling laughter. Never he felt at so peace. But her laughter was so soothing.

Lavanya: Bas bhai. Leave some drool for night too. Actually for tomorrow night. Today I was planning to take Khushi for a tour and then have a girl's night.

Aman: And as you ASR will be left out, I am here for your company. Lets enjoy the night ASR

Arnav: WHAT THE? YOU ME AND ENJOY?

All laughed at the OH NO face of Arnav. Devyani came for his rescue.

Devyani: Bas. Don't trouble my chote too much. Don't you remember chote? Their wing is being renovated for new pipelining. So they will be staying with us till the job is done.

Khushi: They live with us?

Aman: Yup. In east wing. For now we will be in same floor as you but the other side.

Arnav: unbelievable!!

Pratap: now enough. You both come here and do the rituals. You will have to wear Wedding bands too.

The obedient children moved inside the Mandir. Khushi was mesmerized by the serene peace that spread through her as soon as she entered.

Khushi: Wow. This is so beautiful and at peace. I thought that the living room was so beautiful and classy. But this is just awesome. I love this.

Arnav: There is more baby.

Pratap: Chote!

Soon the rituals were done. When Devyani gave Arnav and Khushi the wedding bands that they have to make each other wear, Arnav eyed the elders. They nodded their heads with unshed tears in their eyes. Khushi was not able to understand all these. But she let herself get lost in the moment of Arnav putting the wedding band on her ring finger. She just lived the moment. They shared an eye lock as they slid the bands in each other's hands. They just wanted the world around to fade and live the moment with just each other. Only the two of them. Arnav was impatiently waiting to get her alone and one look at her face and Arnav knew that her eyes were honest to say the same to him.

Everyone had their dinner as the elders enjoyed the young one's banters and bickering. Devyani was all smiles seeing her chote and pari together. Pratap stood as her support silently. Soon the elders retired calling it a day and moved out for a good night's sleep. Even Arnav and Khushi were about to move when Lavanya caught her.

Lavanya: where are you going Khushi bhab.. Anni?

Khushi: Ajeeb hai

Its weired.

Lavanya: Who me?

Aman: haan. Ek ajeeb mile dusre ajeeb se aur Boom, yeh toh Ajooba hai! 8^th wonder!

Yeah. A weirdo meets another weirdo and Boom. It's a wonder!

Lavanya & Khushi: SHUT UP!

Arnav: don't mess with these Ladies Aman. Else Weirdo will become dangerous for you than wonder!

Lavanya: Bhai?

Khushi: Leave it Lavanya. Unhe hamein sataane mein bada mazaa ata hai. Hum baad mein dekhenge inko.

He has fun troubling me. Let me see him later.

Arnav: Cant help it you know!

Arnav shrugged with a grin while Khushi glared and Arnav winked at her making her open her mouth in O.

Lavanya: wow! Your hindi is so good. In fact better than Bhai's.

Aman: Better nahi Best!

Arnav: did you say something Aman?

Aman: huh! No no! Bhabhi, why don't you go around and check the home? La will join if you want to..

Arnav: What the! No way Khushi is going anywhere now!

Hearing this all started laughing seeing how desperate Arnav is to have Khushi with him. Aman and Lavanya stood grinning while Arnav could only glare at him not knowing to cover up.

Lavanya: Ok Ok! Come Aman, lets leave. Else your ASR will eat you up making me the side dish for this Daawat E Aman!

Saying she pulled a grinning aman to their wing not before winking at Khushi and Arnav. Khushi enjoyed their company so much. She was never exposed to this kind of things in her life before. So she enjoyed the teasing and with Arnav beside everything was just perfect for her. She now had a family in true sense who love her, pull her legs and yet support her when needed and Arnav was there. She couldn't ask for anything more.

Suddenly she felt herself floating in air and she knew who it was. She tried freeing herself.

Arnav: hawa mein tairna band karo!

Stop swimming in air!

Khushi: What is this? They might see us!

Arnav: What do you think? I care? I am carrying my wife. Not someone else.

Khushi: Don't even think of going to anyone else.

Arnav: ohhh.. someone is jelous?

Khushi: Shut up! Where are you taking me?

She asked holding his collar and making herself comfortable in his arms making Arnav smile.

Arnav: Carrying my wife and taking her for a tour!

Khushi: Tour around the mansion? Seriously?

Arnav: When did I say that? I am taking you for a tour around our bedroom.

Khushi: Besharam!

Arnav: Not yet Mrs. Raizada! Wait for sometime. You will know how besharam I am.

Saying he took her to their room. She was awed by the way the room was maintained giving to its white color.

Arshi Bedroom.. star like lighting.. king size bed.. human size mirror.. dressing room with washroom.. 2 day beds.. in white with black finishing and wood flooring.

Khushi: This is beautiful. But Arnav, wasn't your room in suntime orange?

Arnav: I changed to white. Don't you think that suntime orange is too girlish?

Khushi: Its bright! So that you can wake up when sun rises. Not sleep like Kumbakaran acroos the bed in that diagonal way and hiding youself behind that pillow!

Arnav: Oh really? You are not at all spared for calling me Kumbakaran.

Saying he started chasing her who was running around the spacious room squealing. But withing minutes Arnav caught her and carried her to the bed. Soon the lovers were in land which had only them and their love which was witnessed by their parents who were shining in sky as bright stars.

It was 6 30 in morning when Khushi's sleep broke due to the disturbance of the sun which crossed the barrier of Arnav's arms which were around her and reached her. She stirred and then slowly opened her eyes. But Arnav was still in deep sleep. The driving and 2 nights without sleep in line took a toll on him. she kissed him slowly at the corner of his mouth taking her own sweet time and smiled seeing his frown and mouth twisted due to disturbance.

Khushi: Raakshas kahi ke. Can anyone believe how much angry laad governor you are, if they see you sleep like an innocent child? And till today your habit of sleeping with open mouth in intact!

She chuckled as she wore his shirt that was on the floor and rushed to washroom. But as she closed the door, her last line troubled her.

HOW DID SHE KNOW THAT HE SLEEPS WITH OPEN MOUTH?

HOW DID SHE KNOW THAT THIS MANSION WAS NAMED AS PER THEIR IDEA?

HECK! HOW DID SHE EVEN KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT THEM?

All these questions made her head spin. She chose to ignore these for now. But again was mesmerized by the design of the washroom. It had a black and white finish with a dim lit cozy effect. There was a Jacuzzi of black in middle with a semi circular shower cubicle. It was more spacious and had basic dressing arrangements like mirrors and draws to put toiletries and other basic items to dress there. Enjoying the feel Khushi took her bath and came out dressed.

She was drying her hair as she came out. Her mobile which was put on charger by the house servant as soon as they came here rang indicating someone's call. Khushi thought

Khushi: About time. Damn! It got turned off and just couldn't charge for past 2 nights.

She took her mobile and saw her Mama's name flashing.

Khushi: Mama? What is it at this hour of morning? Its only 7:30.

Daksh: Khushi ma? Are you fine? I was tensed for past two days. I couldn't reach you through your mobile.

Khushi: I am fine Mama. My mobile's battery died and as we dint unpach our things I couldn't charge in there. Yesterday only I could as I reached Coimbatore. But why were you so tensed? I said I will be fine right?

Daksh: Why will I not be tensed dear? Day before yesterday morning I called you and he answered. He threatened me and cut the call. After that your mobile was out of reach and then totally switched off. So I was scared for you Khushi ma!

His honey dripping voice coated the words with concern and through phone he dropped it in her ears dropping bomb in her heart setting tonardo in her brain.

Khushi: He threatened?

Daksh: Yeah. See Khushi ma. Don't trust him. He is not what he portrays. I can explain. But not like this. You just get the proofs from him and return to us. Aran is still mad for you. I will arrange for your divorce. Its easy if we prove that it's a forced marriage. Then you can marry Aran.

Khushi could not digest the fact of getting married to Aran. Nor think about leaving Arnav. But Daksh's words unsetlled her completely. She dint know what to do.

Daksh: Khushi ma?

Khushi: Huh! Yes Mama. Mama! Can I call you later? Mobile is getting down in battery.

Daksh: Ok ma. But be careful and stay away from him and his family dear. Take care.

Daksh ended the call with a victorious smile of confusing and unsettling Khushi.

Aran: Appa? Why have you woke me up so early in the morning?

Daksh: You lazy fool. Don't you want to become the heir of 750 crore worth property? How will you get it if you keep sleeping?

Aran: for that why did you call Khushi and said about that ASR threatening us?

Daksh: Have you heard of Fishing in unsettled pond?

Aran: Which idiot will do that? we will not even be able to see if there is a fish or not. But why are you talking about fishing now?

Daksh: I doubt you being my son! You are so stupid!

Aran: Appa?

Daksh: Listen! When someone's mind is totally confused and unsettled, making them dance on our tunes is a very easy job. now that I have set her mind in a cyclone, she will confuse herself and at the right time, I will break the news about her property.. and then..

He gave his evil grin and Aran joined him. And there Khushi was still in confused state!
